How I see it:

* It is not a very lethal virus, with 1-2% death rate

* H5N1 for example had a 60% death rate, meaning that you have a very high chance of dying once contracting the virus

* The problem is that Covid-19 spreads like wildfire, for some known and unknown reason

* Therefore, it will infect MUCH MUCH more people than the previous viruses, but it is far from dangerous compared to the previous viruses. However, when you have 1 million people infected, of course the death toll is going to be bigger even at 1% compared to when you have 100,000 people infected. E.g. 1% deaths at 1 mill infected is 100k deaths, meanwhile 60% deaths at 100,000 infected is 60k deaths - Covid19 wins. Is it more dangerous? NO! Is it more contagious? YES!

The above are FACTS, any other crap is spreading false news, conspiracy theories, trying to be a Nostradamus etc. and of course, unnecessary panic.

Now, the panic in this case is very understandable considering the spread-rate and we all as human beings hate the flu... or even the simple cold, because who doesn't hate being unhealthy and not able to live normally, work etc.?

That is why I don't fear this virus for myself, I'm pretty sure that even if infected, I will beat it and probably won't even have to go to the hospital (like I never did even when I had the flu, usually once in 4-5 years, can't really remember last time I had it). I fear it and feel for my grandmothers that are still alive and both turn 80 this year, as well as for everyone that I know or their families that have poor immune systems because of other diseases, problems with lungs etc.

No need to panic, just take care and act wisely!
