I know there are many different ways of doing this, but this is the strategy they believe works best for becoming the authority of a niche. Would love to hear your strategies or your thoughts on this strategy.

It's pretty accurate, all things considered....

I understand how this is important when you consider E.A.T. and what have you, but (from a greyhat lens) wouldn't it be easier to just develop some content clusters that drive people down the conversion funnel? Instead of just relying on a single ideology/link structure, and what might be backlink generation that some rando could report.

Instead I look at the below-referenced model:

Local Query Blog I > KW Based Landing Page > Product > Becoming A Lead. (Optimizing for Speed-To-Lead).
Then: Topical Blog Query II > KW Based Landing Page > Product > Becoming A Lead.
Then: Topical Blog Query III > KW Based Landing Page > Product > Becoming A Lead.

Some considerations:
- Am I leveraging structured data to help bots "understand what I am doing" (e.g. article schema, wikidata referrals, etc).
- Am I linking each post in the chain back to each previous/subsequent post.
- If you're anchor text profile is doing alright (and if you are producing bit.ly/goo.gl links for anchor-text-density, along with grey tactics, and using spoked/tiered link reinforcement) - *cough* shady/high DA links *cough*.
- If you are using proper breadcrumbs (and markup) to help boost understanding... and again, how does my anchor text look.
- If you are leveraging multi-channel (PPC, Email, etc.) to push semantic understanding/deeplinking (publicly caching emails on a server, or using new Chrome80 intergrations).

tldr: the infograph is dope, but there are tons of ways it can be done/interpreted.

So: do what you do - believe in the me that believes in you.

Hey @TheVigilante, May I know what are those tier links? What is the difference between tier links and below mentioned backlins?

It's not a bad thing to follow some structure but I think this one needs a lot more arrows :D

More between the tiers, not just one way. Also, if it makes sense, why couldn't tier 3 link directly to the cornerstone.

Just don't have to be so strict on this.

How about this one guys?
