I think this is for cell phone only. I don’t think you get this verification if using computer that can’t record video of your face. For that you get photo verification if you log in from computer.

they exspect you to have a portable device or dont join that simple .

they dont change rules you using a desktop
you join or dont that there attitude
 
This verification is for confirming that you are a real person. In this password is required every time you log in to Facebook.

That's insane . Who is gonna give them a video of themselves really, are there people who can do that?

I use Facebook in computer. My computer has no camera. I don’t know how I will record video of my face.
 
they go to such efforts to stop spam accounts advertising, which still make them money via ad impressions yet they allow fucking anyone to advertise any agenda they want.
 
Does Facebook need video verification now? I haven't met it yet. If this can replace the password, that's fine. Otherwise, it's too much trouble
 
I reckon they ask people that might be "interesting" to them... they'll probably pass your video and photo on to the "authorities" i.e FBI/CIA/NSA etc.

Have you been writing or consuming content that might be "anti-israel, anti-establishment, anti-gay, anti-white, anti-ANYTHING" etc.?

If you're a clean snowflake then you're not given these verification requests. I've been hit with them at least 2 times :( (not the video one though, that's new).

I do tend to talk shit about all types of groups and people... I'm sure I'm a person of interest to the authorities.

Why do this happen to you? I created fb without any problem. Maybe there are less restrictions in my country about fb.
