What is the point in premium membership?

I have looked over the upgrade page a couple of times and can see there is a premium membership option. As far as I gathered you would pay the exact same amount to have less perks and a pink colour as opposed to JR VIP. Please correct me if I’m wrong if I’m missing something?

If however the premium membership option is purely for people who just want to donate why not have a proper donate option there instead with a drop down for a custom amount? That way I would imagine people who don’t quite have enough would be able to donate on a monthly subscription basis and maybe get a little “ supporter “ badge instead. Just a suggestion.

I believe I read somewhere the premium membership is granted if you haven't hit the 100 post requirement yet not positive tho

vip blue is for people who wanna sell in the market place
and have a sig. 100 posts req + fee

ive been here 12 years daily, do i deserve a reward? no bhw does.
it gave me a place to sell services, and rent out my sig for 99$ a year
and in return i made thousands yearly.

i mean no offence jean, what do you believe your owed for 14 posts
in 6 years? a medal ?

and in that 12 years ive buried 5 close relatives
since 2013 and i have never once played the sympathy card
we all have problems, we all have to deal with them

Again none of that makes any sense to me ( much like the other thread we just spoke on ) , there is something missing and it’s clear with gaps that could easily be filled with a proposition far more superior to this.

Oh you’re one of those that pulls the “ you’ve barely been here “ card when there is little constructive to say back? Just looks like you’re randomly posting to fill a post count at this point.

BHW is a fantastic place with a great simple structure however there is always room for improvement. Since you’ve been here so long you would know I posted this in the suggestions forum because it’s simply just that, a suggestion.

This thread has 0 to do with ranks. It was more on par with abolishing premium user option including the colour and replacing it with some sort of “ donor “ option as it seems to exist purely for donation purposes with perks granted on the basis of how much you donate. ( Such as a signature )

Many times, it happens when you try to renew the membership while you already are a jr vip. In these cases, you will be buying premium membership automatically; instead of jr vip. Happened to me, but the mods fixed it pretty quickly.

Another use case would be those users who love BHW but aren't looking to be "Blue" for whatever reason.

Design is everything. People fall in love with Design 1st, similar at how you fall in love with another person, you notice the body 1st.

Let's take a look at the simple differences: Color + Title (if you ask me, premium looks way better)

But that is not the main reason people select this option. You have guys who made thousands, millions (easy) using BHW, and they never were interested in creating a Sales thread.


They just wanted to giveback, because they wanna either to show how much they appreciating, or they just love the design.

You have also a Marketplace seller badge, and Premium still looks better.

Maybe people who are struggling and can only afford to put small amounts in could initially become “supporters” and once they reach the final fee amount they become “(insert rank name)”? Would be a cool concept

Alright, but what benefits would they get? You can't give the same benefits to someone who donates 20$ that you would give to someone who donates 99$ right?

Also, if everything someone wanted was the colorful name then they would only donate 20$ ( example) get the colorful name and never donate again. I don't think that that would be an intelligent marketing strategy because this way you're forcing people to donate to get the whole thing, makes sense?
