I'm concerned because I'm asthmatic so my immune system is already compromised, but my country has only had 9 cases - 8 of which has been cured and one that is still in quarantine - so I'm not that worried about it... at the moment.

I'm a on and off smoker. Really really concerned. My lungs ain't exactly astronaut-grade.

Covid-19 like any Flu does not survive in Tropical countries, as the weather gets warmer the virus is gone. Here in brazil we have 5 worse viruses: Dengue, Chikungunya, Zika, Malaria and Yellow Fever... Stop being a jerk and alerting people without a reason, plus we had a worse plague a couple of years ago called Black Death which is not the case.

I'm not concerned at all about Coronavirus. The only airport in my city is a private airport, the largest airplane they accept is like a Learjet. The closest interstate is 31 miles(50 KM away). I'm under 30, have never been a smoker or grew up in a city with bad air pollution and I have barely been around smokers even before 13 years ago when the smoking ban was enacted in the state I was living in at the time.

I'm thinking of moving to the country for the next 6 months.

Problem is I'd have to buy food and stuff somewhere. I can't think of how to protect my kin in this situation.

All we can do is try to raise awareness to get people to start using hand snitizers, not go outside and stop claiming this is nothing and just an ordinary flu.

I'd be cautious if I were you even though you stated the above.

Maybe the coronavirus won't show up in your back yard but some nut head who thinks it is funny or wants to screw a bunch of people would interject something else into your world.

I'm personally not concerned as there is nobody within 2 miles of where I live now but I don't think it is wise to take this lightly.

Yes, correct but the elite is not just one family on the top. They are a dozen of families which they battle between themselves.
Some of them want people to be max. 500m while some need the people as cheap labour. Others are selling diamonds and they need people to buy the diamonds.
That's the only reason why we know about them. They out themselves because they are not in excellent relationship. They are battling.

Sure it is worse than SARS but I don't think it's catastrophically bad, as portrayed.

Whether corona or the seasonal flu, those with weak immune systems and/or old age (75+), other diseases etc. are always going to have a difficult time coping with it.

The seasonal flu has killed 6 people in my country this year and a co-worker of mine who I share the office with was in a bad condition at the hospital, took 10 days off of work but then recovered. They've been in the office when the first symptoms appeared, and this was around 2 weeks ago, I haven't contracted it so far.

Although corona spreads like wildfire, what are the chances that someone with a decent immune system and good hygiene to dodge this bullet? In my opinion, same as with the seasonal flu, a big big chance!

I dont usually panic about stuff like this, but for the first time in my life I have made some preparation. I have bought some canned meat, pasta etc and we have plan to move to our cottage where is well with fresh water, firewood and everything what you really need to survive for at least for few weeks if things really go bad. I'm not that afraid of the virus itself since the mortality is really low if you are not 60+, (even I should be more worried than average because of my medical condition), but I'm more afraid of the panic. Society can fall much much faster than we would expect, because at least in my country more 60% of people are idiots. I'm still like 95% sure nothing serious will happen, but if I had some stocks, I would definitely sell, impact on the yet fragile markets is gonna be big in my opinion, because chinese as every totalitarian regime are liars and the amount of infected people is probably 10-100 times higher than they admit. Kinda like soviets dealt with Chernobyl.

- First of all the death rate of the Cvirus is much higher (0.05% for a flu, more than 2% for the virus)
- The transmission rate of the Cvirus is much higher, almost double

beside all this; do you really think the number of official deaths is accurate? From what I see in here (I am in China) the death rate is way higher. In the beginning (last month) it was pretty clear the number of deaths is at least 3x higher, but now there are just sooo many dead people, there you can't even see a difference anymore. You can't see if they say "Oh 150 people died today" when there are actually 400 dead people, because both numbers are just too high. With the chinese gov. trying to eliminate ALL KINDA information. By the way: They are blocking almost all VPNs, every single day new blocks..VPNs which worked perfectly last month. People who walk around with their smartphones and film stuff get busted in the middle of the night, their phone, laptop etc. taken away and called foreign spies.
