Hi all. I have an IG account with 120K followers, which is the biggest by far in its niche (other than a couple of well-known apps). I have branded it and have an accompanying blog although my IG account name isn't that brandable (too long).

People believe I am a brand, I get asked to do University talks, radio podcasts, and various other things. I have a full-time job though so this would not be possible.

I make a bit of money from shoutouts, but I know it has the potential for a lot more. The problem is it's a spiritual practice so I'm not sure what I could sell if I went down that route.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hmmm is it not really an idea to find a different version of the products your "well-known" apps are selling. I guess you should keep the product close to the public of the niche, but let be a product you believe in. Because otherwise it will break down your account harder than you can build it. For me it's hard to think with you without having a clear idea of the spiritual direction. Hope you figure it out, because it would be a nice way to save some extras next to your fulltime job! Keep us posted!

Contact @bosmolskate and see if he's interested on your account as he just posted a thread looking for an account with 100k+ followers

The apps don't really offer a product per se, they are self help subscription things. I was offered an app by a company for 10,000 euros which seemed a hell of a lot

Thanks, but I do not really want to sell it as I know the potential is greater than the figure I would get for it

If you don't know what to do with it, then the 120k audience is not worth it.
Specialize, and you will find opportunities.

From experience i know apps can be quite expensive and i don't want to offend anyone here, but stay away from the cheap developers. I sadly have a shitload of experience with that and that is mostly because i am a designer and work often with clients who first tried the cheap options and than ask me for help. Jippie....

That's the first step to killing your account. If you don't know what you're doing and you have a job, focus on the job and just leave the account. It will need lots of good work to get the full potential, if you don't want to / can't spend a lot of your time you will never achieve the full potential. Therefore you're killing the account. and therefore you should sell it.

It seems a bit of a cheap cop-out for me to sell it, with all respect. I know I can make more in a year just off shoutouts than what I could sell it for. It only takes about 30 minutes of my day to maintain my account in its current state and I grow 200 followers a day

Well since you know what to do with the account, then what's the point of this thread?

Because, like many on this forum, I am here to learn. If I knew every single possible avenue of everything then I wouldn't be on this forum, and I guess neither would you.

i can help you create a streetwear brand of clothing, i will create the tshirt the graphic and the shop online. pm me if interested

-Could you sell t-shirts/hoodies with a relevant spiritual slogan?
-Find a seller of a product that will be relevant to your followers and agree an affiliate deal for a permanent link in your bio
-Set up a quick store so you can sell your own version of whatever your shoutout customers are selling
-Post reviews of books within your niche and then put their amazon affiliate link in your bio

Just a few ideas

I don't think T-shirts are going to work with my niche. I have reached out to a couple of big worldwide companies in my niche to work with them, I've had positive feedback from one so far.

Until then I will try affiliate to high end products via my blog. One of the main problems with my niche is a severe lack of keywords available for natural traffic.

How much money do you make from selling shoutouts?

Get it monetized via the amazon influencer program. If you want I can help
