I promised Part 2 of the Ahrefs Hacks Guide this week, and as promised here is another 'Hack' that can make your life a little easier and drive traffic to the love of your life, your money site
If you missed Part 1, or the 'Bonus Tip' guides I posted last week, you can follow the links below.
Do we all HATE Google? Are you sick of every time you think you have got things sorted and can take a breath, Google decides to rip your site out of your arse and slap you with it? Yeah me too.
So for Part 2 of this Ahrefs Hacks Guide, I thought we could focus on another tip to drive traffic to your money sites, after all, they deserve some love following the last few months nightmare (updates). So without further ado, lets get in to it.
Part 2 - Quora Hack
Quora, like Pinterest is a another great, no effort way to generate traffic to your site. Without having to build links or mess around with on-page SEO, KW density, or how long your article is!
Firstly, Quora is a high authority site and getting a link from them to your money site, even if it is nofollow, is part of any good rounded link profile.
But I want more than a link, so here is how I use Ahrefs to find Quora answer ideas that drive traffic to my sites:
1. Search for quora.com in Ahrefs Site Explorer
2. Now go to the Top Pages Report
3. Add a filter to see only positions 1-10
4. Narrow the results down by adding keywords related to your content
I have stuck with the Baseball example from part 1, as it works nicely and I am basically too lazy to choose something else
Fun fact - I have been to 2 baseball games.
This is what you should see (if you too were searching for baseball)
5. Depending on your KW and niche, you could apply the Volume filter to only see results above a certain monthly search volume. So have a play with the results until you get a set of results you are happy with.
6. Choose a question which meets your criteria of monthly search volume and topic.
Looking at my results, there is one which jumps out straight away, have you spotted it yet?
How insane is that right? And there you were thinking my waffling added nothing to the guide, bazinga
7. Check the question on Quora to make sure you can rank your answer.
Tip: This is a biggy, so pay attention. There is no point picking a Quora answer that has tons of upvotes, as it is a pain in the arse to rank your question (buying votes etc). So we are looking for a question with very few upvotes, so can beat it easily.
Understand? Good.
Heres the question on Quora.
And how many upvotes has the number 1 answer got?
Perfect, we have a winner. Unlike that endless game of baseball I first watched!
Bonus Tip - This is also a great way to find new topic ideas: they’re all popular questions your audience might have and may be interested in reading your answer to.
One More Bonus Tip - This hack is not limited to Quora..... think outside the box.
Conclusion
A lot of IM'ers know that Quora should be something they're exploiting to drive traffic to their sites, hopefully with this simple Ahrefs hack you can now get after some of that sweet sweet traffic for yourselves.
Down with Google, don't let them ruin your revenue stream again.
Let me know what you think and stay tuned for Part 3 of the Ahrefs Hacks Guide.

Fun fact - I have been to 2 baseball games.
- The 1st was the Cubs v Rangers in Chicago. The game was terrible, no points for 9 innings, so it went on and on until finally Milwaukee got someone around. I had a great chat for nearly 5 hours about the UK game of rounders with everyone around me
Best part of the day was going to a place across the road where I spent the night drinking, dancing to duelling piano's and showing my American brothers in the batting cages, that yes, Brits can smack a ball too. - The 2nd time was not as interesting, I caught a game in Houston, where I saw the Astros v Cubs. Cubs won. We drank a lot, I can't remember much else until the next day
