Co-sign on Namecheap. I've never had any issues with them and they offer a pretty nice set of tools. If you buy a lot of domains, you can ask for coupons for renewals. They've got a pretty nice API for developers if you're into that kind of thing as well.Namecheap is what I'd recommend, too: on top of the free privacy their prices aren't that bad (kinda hard to find good coupons sometimes tho) and their interface is one of the best in the market imo.
Name.com is King, I recommend them..free private who.is for the life of your domain.
Haha, now, don't be mean to the guy. I absolutely agree though, namecheap is a great company to deal with and they offer the first year of whois privacy for free.Well, I like name and namecheap they both are really good. and privacy is free :newbie:
Name.com WAY to go!
Just wondering, if I host my domain on another hoster than name.com (but buy the domain name @ name.com), will I pay the domain name annual fee to name.com or to my hoster?
1and1.com is free private reg..and i emailed them to see if it was like 1 year then they rebill, and they said it will be free "for the life of the domain at this current time" and if their policy changes it will only effect domains bought after the policy when into place.
so i use them...basically the same price as the other big dogs in domains...i don't really like them that much, but they do the job, and it's easier than faking info everywhere..ive used them for 4 years with no issues outside of them ripping me on a SSL Cert
