Me and my team are creating a new business that provides users local contractor listings for Total Remodel, Kitchen & Bath, Masonry, Roofing & Siding and Everything Else.

Now we are planning to create a new business website and small geo websites based on the location/cities.

My question is, for SEO, what could be the best XPDyte Builders Network options:

1. totally separate domain, website and GMB for each GMS (Geo Micro Site) such as merrickkitchens xpdyte.com registered annonymous and hosted in unique hosting so all the GMS's are looked at as separate companies by Google
2. Subdomain with GMB registered to each contractor home or office.
3. Create Inner pages instead of different geo websites on main XPD website.

These are my 3 options, maybe there are more?
What will work best in first year to get organic leads?
I think in the future we can switch the GMB (if we choose option 1) to link to inner pages or subdomain if we decide to focus on the main site in the future.
Please provide options and pros and cons....

Do local landing pages for each city. Make sure there is a way to navigate to these pages from the home page. It can be as simple as a link in the header or footer menu to a "Area's We Serve" page and that page has a list of cities and a link to your local landing page.

You can link you GMB to the appropriate city page. It saves a lot of off page SEO when you keep everything on the main domain and do internal linking. Once you have a strong domain, local pages with good on page SEO will often rank shortly after publishing without any additional effort.

From "local landing pages", do you mean, "separate geo websites with different domain or sub domain" or "just inner pages in the main website"?

Inner pages all on the same domain

"Our locations are not retail stores they are homes usually registered as service areas so we are concerned about google telling us to simply make a main office with large service area. Then we will get very little showing in the maps

My boss would like to have a call with you to discuss this issue in detail to be sure. I can give you his phone number and he is ready to pay. You can keep your details anonymous if you like.

Please reply back.

Google is not going to tell you how to run your business.

Not sure which country you are in but if you try build too many GMB listings using residential addresses they may flag it. Take a look at how large franchised companies do it. Here is a nation wide pest control chain.

They create a GMB for that location and link it to a local city page on the main domain

totally separate domain, website and GMB for each GMS .........this one is good option....

for local market just focus on GMB , it will improve your ranking on Google Map and with that more focus on Organic Traffic for 1-2 years.......
after that change your Gear

Thanks for your reply but what if i have the home addresses for these GMBs? Would Google object to that?
