- Mailchimp costs scales up very quickly. Some people argue their IPs are shit at making it to the inbox.
- Mailwizz with Digital Oceans account will cost 200-300.00 to get set up if you don't know how to configure your IP, MTA, Mailwizz and linux

If you have server resources (I mean dedicated) then you can also install a powerMTA setup and have many remote clients (risk takers) to actually do the sending,
So powerMTA, Mumara will be my choice.
But that is if you want to go Pro and/or sending out cold emails that service providers wont let you do so unless your email subscribers have been opted in.

PowerMTA resides in central server, while you have on the front end (like agents) on other IP's doing the pushing and taking the risk of being banned, hence 'risk takers'. You wont need PowerMTA for your needs.
Yes Mailwizz or Mumarra is good as most use either of these two.

@OP why compare a self hosted ESP with Mailchimp? That's apples and oranges.
They have different functionality and cater for different users

Mailwizz on your server for high volumes, and mailchimp/sendgrid for smaller volumes

Easy setup. Go with sendy + smtp server or Amazon SES.
Mailchimp is very user friendly for newbies and low volume
