I don't know you guys in the North and Scotland put up with the weather. I live in the South East and the weather here is bad enough that it motivated me to buy a business and move to Florida!

Looks like it's heading right for the Anglesey head too haha

Florida is literally my favourite place on earth I'd move there in a heartbeat if I could.

It's getting too expensive to go now though with a wife and 5 kids.

Oh and the rain I've encountered there sometimes on holiday makes our heavy rain look like a light mist.

Yeah the rain in Florida can be terrible. It was an expensive move which is a real shame. $500k on the business (needed for visa), $5k on fees for the visa (E-2) and when I want a green card, I'll need to pay $1.5Million for a few years until I get it back.

Oh nice mate, smashing it. Where about are you in Florida?

Good luck with the green card too :)

Not quite moved yet. I go out in a week and a half for 3 weeks to take over the business. Luckily the owner is absentee already so I am then coming back to the UK until the start of May when I'll go out permanently. The business is in Fort Lauderdale, though.

Oh nice mate, that's when we usually go over there at the start of may usually around the third.

Not far from Miami then are you, crazy when we drove down to Miami just to see the Dash shop for the Mrs.

Loads of bloods (I'm guessing) walking round dripping in gold.

The beach was amazing too.

The whole state is amazing we love it.

Dying to rent a big motorhome next time and travel through a few States and national parks up to California.

We'd have to probably stretch it from 3 weeks to 6 to 8 weeks though.

Good luck with the new business mate hope it's a massive success.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I live in a small town between Southport and Liverpool.

Seems like there is a few of us from around here. I'm not actually from the area but work in Liverpool. It's a fantastic city and our family love it here, despite the weather!

Oh not too far from me then mate I'm a scouser, lived here my whole life (I'm 35 now )

Are you North West people looking forward to the bridge they are going to build to Dublin?

Is Liverpool nice, it seems cheap and has good nightlife.
A night out in Liverpool is the best, the city is alright. Like most places it has it's good areas and shit holes.

But definitely come and have a good night out. I'd try and make it for the day Liverpool win the league if you really wanted to.

It's going to be immense.

As for the bridge it would be an engineering nightmare.

It's so stormy out there that it'd have to be extremely robust and I'd imagine it would be closed a lot too in shitty weather.

Probably a tunnel would be the best way to link us.

Been wanting to move to Florida for over a year now and looking into things seriously now (hopefully to move latest Summer 2021). Mind if I PM? Wanting to move to Tampa on the E2 as well and intended in hearing your experience about the move etc.
