I already had a journey on here documenting my Amazon Affiliate journey, but I gave up on it.

Now the website is sitting still and I haven't written a post since November of last year, but it still has been receiving some orders and getting some traffic.

I'm ranking No.1-3 for some good keywords, but I think that I can do better than that.

A brief overview of the site:

Word Count
oWPWQEv

I know, the average is lacking

Amazon Dashboard (As of this week)
Zcc3iT4

That ordered item is a nice $400 item, so I'll get some earnings, hopefully :P

Google Search Console (As of this week)
IcobP1G

Google Analytics (As of this week)
ciRmhY7

So as you can see, the site has been doing well, even though I haven't touched it in over 3 months.

Now my goals are as follows:
  • Write at least one article a week
  • Make some high-quality links for those articles
  • Get high rankings
  • Make money :)

I'll start and most likely finish the first article (after 3 months) today, and we'll see how this journey goes.

Thanks for reading.

Wow! This will be amazing to see how the results gonna come after a break. Definitely following your journey and best of luck mate.

Thanks!

me too planing to restart my seo and websites work. :) I've almost abandoned my sites for nearly 6 months now. Thankfully yet it earns few bucks which I can reinvest on content.

Following. Nice you got an order for that.
Yep, I was surprised as I hadn't managed the site for some time :)

The volume on those keywords are in the 100-200 region, but it's good enough as they have high buyer intent

Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing the results too :D

I think that restarting it is the best thing you can do! The only reason I didn't manage the site was due to the fact that I was lazy and a bit bored from not seeing any results, but that one order gave me a little boost of encouragement and got me started again. Those few bucks should encourage you! Good luck!

Good luck on your journey! Will be following.

One question;
When choosing topics for posts, how many monthly searches are you aiming for? (for that particular topic)

Put those fingers to work, you need more content!! Good luck.

I hope you get rank soon! I will follow your thread.

I hope so too :)

Good luck on your journey! Will be following.

Thanks! When I'm choosing topics, I usually search for terms with under 500 monthly searches, as this gets the least competitive keywords. I'm going to be targeting higher volume keywords now as I'm pretty confident in the site.

Do you only do buyer intent KWs? Or info too?

I do a mix of both, at this point there are more info posts.

Put those fingers to work, you need more content!! Good luck.

Yes, I know :D Thanks!

So today I said I was hoping to get a post written, but I got a bit sidetracked. I was creating my upcoming BST and making the thread, which I have now created, and it will be checked by mods soon :)

good luck! what type of links you plan to build?

I'll be building the links that I will sell in my BST. Kind of a case study -esque thing.

Could you give some more details?

- kw difficulty, monthly search
- how to success with only 10k words
- your money&info ratio of your articles
- backling strategy (to money pages or naked url)
- etc.

Good luck with it, im following.

Good luck! I guess its a good sign you are already rnaking with low post count articles already. If you can scale this up with some good keyword research and longer content length you could do really well.

Good luck for your journey!

Thanks :)

following. What is your backlink strategy so far?

I'm only using the backlinks that I will be selling in my BST, they are high quality and high metric backlinks, and I just point them at the naked URL of the article.

- I think the highest kw difficulty was 60 or so, and I ranked 6 for that. But I usually go for a difficulty of 25-45. The monthly search volume I target is fairly low, 100-200 and sometimes higher. It's been working for me, so I'll stick with it.
- I currently have 7 money posts and 8 info posts
- See above
Thanks :)

Thanks! Yeah I think it's a good sign :D I'm going to start to try and scaleup, to see where I get to.

Mini Update:

I received another order (somehow :D) and the last order was shipped, I got a fairly big amount, which I'll be sharing in the next weekly update.

I've researched some keywords and found some that I liked. I've planned out the article and will start on it tomorrow, hoping to write 1000 words as I don't want to waffle on about a small product.

You need to look at what you're going to do for scaling. The slow trickle is never going to make you the big money you're looking for.

How are you doing your KW research? Are you focusing only on that $400 item or you have other items? Niche?

Best of luck, i am following your jouney
Thanks

Yep I know. I've already started to make a little plan in my head but my current focus is on content.

I use the Moz Pro free trial for my keyword research, but then again, my keyword research is not very good. I'll probably buy some keywords off here at some point, or maybe start a JV or something like that. I'm not just focusing on the $400 product, there's not enough demand for it to be substantial profit. The niche is [REDACTED]
