Should I trust Infinityfree?

I asked because you can use Blogger + custom domain for free.If it's just a blog and not much else (automations, advanced stuff) that could be a solution. That's what I do these days for a little project I have.

Yea I setup a blogger today. I had the same thought with you. But I face an issue. NO FREE TEMPLATES (That they are nice of course) :eek::weep:
Guide me my friend! I want blogger too. It's easier.
 
Look for Amp templates, there are some free ones. Check if the template contains p,a,c,k,e,d JavaScript, I'd avoid those because it's hard to know what's inside that obfuscated code.
LE. https://prootips.com/amp-blogger-template/ this is where I got some. These look clean, not my website, check whatever you download, however these seemed the best.

I used them a while ago, after registering an account and had my wordpress site live for almost 2 weeks or something, i received auto email informing me my account has been suspended due to exceeding the limit of data usage and will be reactived after 24 hours.. "it was a new website though and has no traffic"
i kept reciveing these emails day after day so the days website down are more than when it's live... they probably want to enforce you to upgrade and use a premium hosting service related to them but under another name.. and that's what i did went to the premium service because that was so confusing...

Are these templates free-forever-with no watermark?
I've seen templates that wants you to buy the premium but they offer you the free version (which is crap)

One more thing about free WordPress, there are a few websites that provide free hosting, InfinityFree, Profreehost, ByetHost and some other unknown ones, these are all under iFastnet network, their cPanel looks the same, registration process is the same. These all promise free unlimited webhosting bla bla, which is somewhat true, until you find out about inodes, something very limited that will get your website down for small things.
Another free host is 000webhost, now part of HostGator, it works just like ByetHost ones.
If you Google even more, then you find all sorts of free hosts like
Freehostia (too small storage),
AwardSpace (very very limited in everything), HelioHost (this one is good actually, but if you don't login in their cPanel for a month your account is suspended and you have to beg in their forum for reactivation)
There are few more, they are either inadequate for WordPress or require some forum activity, banner ads and so on.
The best free thing you can get is cloud hosting for a year: Google cloud has it, Aws has it, Alibaba Cloud has it now for new users, Ibm Cloud has also a free tier. Just give them a working CC, they'll get few cents and you'll get free hosting for a year.

If your website is not likely to change, you can build a static site with Gatsby, and host on Netlify or Gatsby Cloud, both are free with SSL

You can start with dohostme for free hosting as blogger is not a permanent solution. If you just want a trial for 2 months, then Vultr & DigitalOcean offer free trials. There are several free annual hosting offers from Alibaba, Microsoft Azure, Oracle, evolution host, century link etc. I'm using Ziba host for one of my sites but they don't provide support for free hosting (for example, they'd recommend premium if you ask for gzip, browser cache or other settings).
