$50 a day with A/C legitimately?

There is no cap on it. But with only being able to check out 10 articles at a time and having them written in high enough quality, I doubt you could BH it. The articles expire and check themselves back in. Some people that write and research quickly are cranking out around 10 to 15 articles a day. Many on the boards say around 5 is good for them. It is a one time flat fee as well. Rewrites can be time consuming. I've taken some impossible rewrite requests and deleted them from DS and used on AC.
Just go to google and type in sample resume. Fill in your contact info and school info.
Put in that you write commentary for blah blah local newspaper in your area. You wrote several book reviews for your blah blah local library. Oh and of course you're in charge of the monthly newsletter for blah blah club in your community.
Add your clubs you belong to.. you for sure belong to blah blah book club in your community and of course the blah blah gardening club OR craft's club
You took blah blah writing course at the local technical college -- um about 3 to 5 years ago.. and you just happen to look up what courses are typically offered in the writing area for the local technical college
For your writing sample: go to eHow dot com and look up a keyword with about in front of it.. find a contributor.. follow the format there.. same thing for How-To. Make certain the writing sample is ALL active voice, contains 2 references from a dot gov, dot edu or dot org site that is not primarily user contributed to -- Put the references at the bottom
Include 2 tips and 1 warning for the writing sample as well
They'll love that you already know how to write in their 'format' and style
Download and use the crack for the program rightwriter 5.0 .. it will tell you all instances of passive voice, split infinitives, basic grammar errors and sentences that are too long.. it will keep you from using colloquials and negatives too.. my rewrites went down significantly when I take the time to run them through rightwriter first

Like Shawndella said, the cap is based on the site's limitations. Just like with AC, it's all based on how well written the articles are based on what they personally want from the content. DS and AC have very different wants and needs.

Ive written for most of these sites and I'd rather just post threads in the b/s/t sections of forums. For some people it's actually more profitable per hour than all of these sites...yes even Demand. If youve written for them then you know how much work goes into that $15 upfront payment.
If you can write english fluently then i think you're really limiting yourself with these publishers. AC is great in the fact that its easy to get accepted for upfronts, you dont have to deal with a lot of revision requests or edits and if you outsource its really one of the only options for upfronts, but if you dont mind writing then freelancing is the way to go imo.

very good points that you make.. i write for DS and the revisions sometimes are nearly impossible.. or the topic is good but with the banned references list, I can't get a decent reference to write it.. next thing I know, 2 hours is gone for the $15 I'm getting upfront.. AC is much less stressful and profitable in the long run
