Hi,

How can I check if any domain (Live or expired) is penalized by google?

Any site or method to do the same.

Register your domain in webmaster tool. If your site penalized you got mail from google.

Its already in Webmaster tool and analytics, have not got any mail from google, I am worried because my keyword ranking dropped from 200 keywords in top 100 to 70 keywords in less then 10 days time :(

Don't get webmaster tools bruh, that's how you get penalized if you start blackhat linkbuilding (IMO). :D

"Hey, let's game Google and at the same time use Google properties on the same site!"

I think there are some sites that can check this for you if you Google it, but they're not exactly accurate.

If you already registered your website in webmaster tool, you may find in Manual Action tab, if you got any message from Google for any penalties.

This has to be one of the most insane claims I have seen for a while.

You can check for manual penalty in Search Console. But penalty are 90% algorithmic and for those you can't find a tool... Usually helps make search for the entire title of the homepage or some inner page.. and if you don't find your site in first pages than probably your site was hit

OK.

If I was Google and wanted to look into (penalize) sites gaming the SERPs, I would definitely start with people using GSC, since they're clearly into SEO when they're indexing their sites and so on. It narrows their search down tremendously. Also, I've never gotten penalized and I have over 40 websites doing hardcore blackhat SEO, meanwhile I keep hearing people getting penalized here because they bought 5 PBNs. I'll stick to my claim (opinion), and will keep not using Googles analytics and search console for any of my sites.

The only thing you can do is to check if the domain is indexed just type in google site:sitename.com
Check how many posts the site has and how many has google indexed
You can also make a plagiarism check to see if the site has duplicate or scraped content if the site has scraped or duplicate content and it is not penalized than it is only a matter of time till it gets.
One sign that a site has fairly ok content is if it has Adsense, as Adsense will not allow scraped and duplicate content

Thanks everyone for your valuable inputs, I have checked in google and see my site is indexed (around 3k pages are indexed) and don't see any penalty in Webmaster tool either, so I guess this must be January update by google that tend my site to do down in terms of keyword and traffic.

Webmasters tool can help you identify a penalized site. It should help you lookout for traces of penalties.
