If you are given a YouTube channel and remove the other owners and are now the only owner, if any of the previous owners that are no longer connected to the channel in any way get their accounts terminated, is there a possibility that the channel they gave you could be terminated? Or no because they were no longer connected to it in any way?

wow thats a good question, but i guess yes that risk is there.

becoz that person was associated, however im not very sure but most likely i guess it can lead to termination coz this is what yt is very strict with . they are usually known for finding as spammer and banning all their associated accounts and you will always be in risk if any traces are left that it is the same person

I would be so sure of that, but yeah there is a risk your channel could get banned too. Youtube is unpredictable, especially these days. You never lnow whats gonna happen

to be honest i dont think its about YouTube itself being unpredictable. what i personally think is google is the real father of technology, they are dominating the world with their products/services and a huge user base and a lot of things cannot be maintained by staff manually, their AI is evolving like crazy over the past few years and its doing most of the human work by itself on YouTube and also add that with machine learning.

whats happening i guess is not about unpredictability, i guess its more to do with the fact that YouTube is getting better and better at taking down spammers and abusers so obviously rules are getting stricter and they will ban anyone who they find associated with abuse/spam and their bots do a good job at either finding or reporting that

my guess would be when they are testing something with their bots , that is machine learning to take down content , in the beginning if they are unsure whether their bots would do mistakes, they would instruct the bots to only report such incidents if detected to the staff rather than taking direct action on its own, and the staff will say "yes" or "no" to that reported violation.

so as the bot keeps reporting more and more incidents the staff will review each one of them and the bots machine learning will progressively get more and more familiar over time and start to learn and improve its own detection system based on its initial machine learning from the staff judgements.

this is my guess on how it works.

Thanks for letting me know all of this, has anyone ever heard of the situation I mentioned actually ever happening?

Why don't you try to do it?

Just get 2 different youtube accounts on separate emails, send 1 channel to the 2nd account. On the 2nd account, after you already sent the 1st channel to the other one, upload 3 porn videos in matter of minutes and this will get the channel banned immediately. After that just check if the 1st youtube account got deleted or not.

NO. You have removed previous owner therefore there is no connection whatsoever anymore with previous owner to you (the new owner). Im 100% sure you will not be affected. However depends if you changed the adsense account too. I mean if you are sharing same adsense then yes if they are terminated you will be too, eventually. But if your adsense is different then you have nothing to worry about. Ive moved channels from a single brand account if i feel like one of them might be terminated. You just have to separate them and change owners.

This is doubtful because if you sold a channel and then started a new channel and got banned, the owner who bought your first business would lose their channel.

Not something YouTube wants to do to legit businesses so it would have to be extraordinary circumstances and not automated.
