a few months ago i tried cloudways managed hosting and its free balance (i need to provide some gov id to get the free balance), after 2 month i sell the site+the cloudways account to the buyer (i dont have time to move the site to the buyer hosting so i give the site+the hosting),

but it seems the buyer didnt delete the hosting after the balance reach $0 (as u know some hosting like digitalocean will continue running for another month after the balance reach $0 and u get the negative balance -$xx)
and now for a few weeks there is many email from cloudways billing and the last email they said it will go to debt collection agency.

i tried to reach the buyer but no reply. should i worry about this debt collection agency since they have my gov id?

Just pay the money...

They’ll send it to collections and report it to the credit bureau. It’ll impact your credit and you’ll constantly get calls from the debt collector.

Just pay the ten bucks.

How about one.com hosting. Most hosting companies if you let the domain expire just terminate the contract. Not one.com, first they increased the renewal price to 56 dollars and then sent it to a debt collection agency in Ireland.

Since then I have terminated all contracts with one.com.

Beware.

Man! Pay the ten bucks. If you don't have , PM me. They irritated me too much in past.

I would just pay it then get it closed straight away.

if it not a bluff there going to add really heigh fees and knock on your door.

maybe contact them to close the account immediately, if they ask for $10 just pay and shut it down straight away.

if the old person you sold it to, contacts you tell them the truth straight ..... they should have changed it.

next time always use clients info.

you been so lucky the old user didnt bump addons on that account.

anything could of happen close that account.

im still waiting reply from the buyer, i hope he can pay the hosting and close the account. i know its just 10bucks for some people but for me its 1 month worth of electricity bills :D

Debt collection for 10$? This is not worth it for them to come after you since their expenses would triple-double this amount... But I would contact them since your original ID is on their database.

If buyer does not pay it, just PM me

lol, if i were you i will let them send recovery agencies. agency fee must be higher than your 10 buks invoice.

Let them send the collection agency, and when they come, give them the 10 bucks in coins.

Pay the ten dollars and don't sell someone else something that has your ID attached to ito_O
