Problem with Scrapebox and Google

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing some trouble with SB and Google. When I try to get a link of websites from one (or more) keywords, I only get result from Bing or Yahoo, even if Google is selected as a source.

I am using a pool of proxies from MyProvateProxy.net, which is one of the two providers suggested in the SB website.

Am I doing something wrong? Thank for helping me.

Google tightened things down recently with their updates and I know proxies are being banned much quicker then they used to.

So thats likely the issue but if you go to help >> show error log >> harvester - what are the errors?

429, 302 and 503 are all ip bans for google.


Also you should make sure your google engine is up to date. You can go to settings >> harvester engine configuration >> import >> download default engines.

If you can only get 1 result from Google / keyword just reinstall scrapebox and try again.

Thank you, I'll check the log as soon I'll be at home. The rest should be up to date, but I'll check anyway.

Just scrape new proxies that Pass Google Test. After that to try insert large number of keywords. You should get at least 100 results for some keywords. If there aren't any results still most probably your scrapebox is broken. Download latest scrapebox from the scrapebox website and install it on another forlder (willl be better imo). Run it. Update all plugins etc. Add the working google proxies that you scraped earlier. It should work. I use scrapebox daily and had the same problem. It was solved by doing these steps. There is a problem for proxies die fast though.

yea I had the same problem, google updated their html and scrapebox released the updated harvester engine a while ago.
The fix was released really quickly but scrapebox does not force harvester engine updates because it would override custom harvesters you created.
So as pointed out above you have to go to your harvester options and update the engines which will fix the problem.

Sorry for the tale reply. And Thank you. Actually I could see 429 error on the harvester log. I've downloaded default engines again and now it is working fine.

Checked without proxies and it worked.
IPs from US and Canada
Strange, because proxies passed G test in ScrapeBox, also checked depacther looks ok (use 2captcha).
Tested manually, Google asks to solve capcha, when solve manually works fine.

What captcha solution would you recommend (maybe I should add something more for 2captcha to work? it Shows the balance)? Or it could be rather proxy problem?

Scrapebox does not solve captchs for scraping, they tried that years ago and it causes more problems then it solves.

Its possible google is returning splash screen or alternate html based on the geographic location of the ips and/or any applicable laws.

that said, if you go to the settings >> harvester engine configuration >> google.

Then select the option to test with proxies and do a test of the google engine. Does it return urls? If not it will give you the option to save the raw html. Save it.

Then upload it and post it here/pm me or mail me loopline (at] scrapeboxmarketplace <dot) com

429 is a ban error. Means google has temp banned your ip, wait 12 hours and try again, it can take up to 48 hours to have an ip unbanned

yes, they seem to be doing some testing or something. I get such things when I use google maps on my cell phone when Im not at home and just connected to AT&T, but you said it, it gets harder every day.

Google have some issue. google resolve their indexing problem and updated html, on the other hand scrapebox released the updated harvester engine.

Google is not working for me at all. It shows 0 results with or without proxies

I have updated the default search engines. Did not help.
