I was really excited to work with this guy based on the reviews, took about a week to get to him, and once I finally explained what I wanted, he charged me $250 in Bitcoin then asked for $100 more saying "his boss wouldn't approve of that price" (mind you, I didn't even ask for a discount, but had I known it was $350 I might have worked with another developer).

It's been 3 days since I paid, I haven't heard a single word back, he hasn't even asked me for my agency name or anything, just took my money and went afk again.

I understand that this is his VA and that the actual owner has better etiquette, and that the actual person may have been doing a good job, but his current VA is terribly flaky, and basically forced me to pay more after the first payment was sent.

Hopefully the quality is worth it, will report back.

Either this is the wrong thread or you're speaking with the wrong person. I don't have a VA for this marketplace thread brother!

The VA refused to give me any information on what platform the website is built, refused to show samples (says they are protected by NDA), just promised me the work would be good, took $350 and haven't seen or heard a response from them in 4 days now.

@BassTrackerBoats @MisterF What is the best wy to deal with this? This is simply not true. Would like to deal with it sooner rather than later before it escalates
