Hey BHW,

Recently, I have been wanting to invest into cloud storage and move all my storage from my HD to over cloud.

Do you guys any recommendation on which could storage I should invest in and which one is the secure options.

I kinda want to stay away from Dropbox and Onedrive, anything else besides those regular ones?

There are also crypto altcoins that revolve around cloud technologies, if I were you I would check some of those out.

What's the reason you want to go to the cloud? Best thing in my opinion is Network attached storage : (NAS)
It's a bit more expensive but you will remain ownership and access to the files. If you get a decent NAS you can also make it accessible outside of your network.

Make .edu email for free, with .edu you get 15Tb gdrive storage for life.

Its not 15TB its unlimited, but its throttled to 750GB a day of uploads. However they will ban accounts that were purchased and not from a legit .edu account.

How much storage space you want?

My client has written a kick ass guide on this topic in case anyone wants let me know I’ll share it via dm, as he’s my client and if post here it looks promotional which I don’t want.

Get an edu mail and use G drive. Might work better.
Until the tenant administrator finds out and decides to kill the account.
I have a few .edu accounts and Google Drive accounts but i'm not putting all my eggs in the same basket :)

I use google drive, onedrive, Dropbox, amazon(for phone photos), box, plus Is have storage at 2 hosting companies where I store misc files

I'm using google drive (free 15GB) and its super cheap to get more storage. its 2$/month for 100gb, 200gb is 3$/month, 2TB is $10/month. Im in a third world country and it costs 50% less after conversion, i guess u can abuse that

thanks for the input fellas!!
but there are 2 many options out in the market urgh...
i hate deciding hahaha
