When I build links do I have to build the same amount of links every day? sorry noob question.
The same amount of links, if indexed, will be a footprint to the website. Being careful about velocity means you shouldn't build too many. How many you should build daily is up to you.. just not too many. When I build links do I have to build the same amount of links every day? sorry noob question.
Not necessarily. You can go at your own pace, as far as you don't build too exaggeratedly (or more importantly, you don't force indexing to exaggeratedly). Consider that building links per se, is not a great deal, but forcing them to index. In fact, big penalties come from weird practices, so if you are manually linkbuilding or something like that, in relatively legit site (not those sites with a million link per page), then you can go as fast as you can.

Sum it up as - build links on a daily basis.
That sums it up to crawlers "hearing" about your site on a daily basis.
That equals velocity.
ThanksNo it is not necessary to maintain exact number. If the site is new, start it with few links and increase gradually.
It also depends on niche scale(small or large one) You should focus on quality content, anchor text, relevant and quality of site(quality links) and avoid low quality links.
Building links is ongoing process and you have to build naturally to be safe.
