In 1999, psychologists Davis and Knowles conducted a study on the mighty persuasive power of re-framing.

The results were ⚡ASTONISHING⚡.

In their experiment:

They went door-to-door selling note cards for charity.

In the 1st round, they offered 8 cards for $3, and made sales in 40% of the houses.

But in the 2nd round - they sprinkled some re-framing dust ✨

They said 8 cards were 300 cents, and followed up with: "which is a bargain."

The impact?

They scored sales at 80% of the houses.

Can you even imagine?

They literally doubled their cash on the same pricing.

By embracing the world-slicing power of re-framing.

Now...

If you are a business owner, can you imagine how it can transform your business?

You can be slamming down 2x/3x/4x profits from all of your campaigns... with a couple of swift tweaks. ‍

In my next post, I will dissect why this strategy works.

Keep an eye out so I can help you understand the psychology behind it.

Thank you for bearing with me.

Op, perhaps you could write a guide on how to make your first 100,000,000 cents using this method?

TOTALLY, mate.

Amazing copy (the words) alone can convert better than 10k costing designs with shit copy.

I could ;)
I'm sure there's probably an extremely valid psychology report behind this phenomenom but if i sell a service for $1,000 month i really don't want to have to advertise or tell my customers that we charge 100000 cents per month
because that just looks incredibly unprofessional and i wouldn't doubt some people's brains would skip the cents and think it's $100,000 dollars per month.

Yes, that will make you look extremely unprofessional. Don't do that.

Reframing is not limited to dollars to cents conversions.

For a car that will cost you $600 per year, you can reframe that as, it will only take you $1.6 per day.

I hope you get the drift :)

This is awesome! I've been saying for a while that we need a conversion rate optimization sub-forum here on BHW... so important. Just changing your button from "buy" to "buy now" can make a big difference. (I know, not exactly the same thing but still)

Thanks for the share

I'm glad you like it, mate :)

Also, if you want to discuss conversion optimization, I don't think this section would be a problem.

Sure, a difference section would be amazing. But copy and conversion is so much correlated, I don't think this place would be a problem.

What about changing "buy now" to "buy right now"? ;)

Hmmmm similar to what you learn in telemarketing - Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. But none the less, worth a shot and sounds better.

You can call copywriting telemarketing in print. The secret is to find the sweet spot.

Not every hack will work for every industry.

That's where we have to roll our sleeves up and research what performed amazing in that niche in the past.

Yeah fair enough, I didn't really think about that to be honest - Good idea, and you're right. However conversion rate optimization can also be changing your button color from blue to red and have 30% higher CR - Not really copy writing related. Or how you design the websites layout.

Haha yeah that could be even better, good idea. :D

I've learned a ton about conversion optimization while being in the copywriting sphere, learning from the best and working with my clients.

Red creates urgency. Discomforts the reader. Inflates sales.

Exactly! And these conversations are almost non-existent here on BHW in my opinion. It's all about how to get traffic, but not how to convert them once you have the traffic.

Aha.

I appreciate that BHW focuses on traffic, but you don't need 1 million people flocking to your site to make 100,000 dollars.

You just need to convert 1000 people successfully on a $1,000 offer.
