I'm messing with Instagram for traffic to an affiliate site for the first time.

I didn't even know until posting my first image that you can't have clickable links in your caption - that is unfortunate. I've left my link in there anyway, just not clickable.

Anyone have experience of whether anyone tends to go to the effort of manually typing the link in? An example of the link format would be:

example.com/p/1
I'll test it out... but just seeing if anyone has any insight.

If not, I'll have to say "link in bio" and they'll have to find the specific post themselves. Any other strategies?

You are doing this on one of your pages or on a page from someone else?

I would recommend you getting the image, the link within the caption (as you already have) and post a story with a swipe up link. Speaking from my experience of course. I haven't been able to convert it that well so far but hope to get better recommendations as well.

No no... you will have better success if you just told them ''Google it: <keyword>''

You tested that?

I mean, trying to think on the mind of a lazy guy, I wouldn't know what to choose. The hassle of opening a new tab and writing (hopefully) a small domain name to an LP or writing a keyword in a Google search bar. And to add to that, you would need to be sure that your LP ranked first on that keyword search.

Am I missing something?
