What do I need to learn to make a bot?

Hey guys,

What is the best way/language to start making bots in 2020, I come across tons of simple but repetitive and time consuming work and i hope i can able to automate the boring stuff that i encounter and save money that being spent on VAs.

You may ask okay but there're bots everywhere to do a lot of things? that's right but there's none for the repetitive work i encounter mostly in designs and IM, and i find a lot of people need that too so i may offer this as a service in the future.

The bots i'm taking about are not chatbots or something, but it's more like the bots used in design programs to arrange, rename and do certain actions on photos and layers, and maybe do simple works online.

I have enough time to learn and the whole thing is interesting to me, I see a lot of members offering bots as services and i hope to find help how to get started in this field, I know that python maybe the best thing to learn for that purpose nowadays or maybe i'm wrong, but most of the resources i find is about ML or Web dev with laravel.

Can you recommend any good resources as well ?

The language doesn’t matter as long as it’s functional and you’re able to use it to its potential. The last time I wrote a script was for a college project and I used Python. Bear in mind, I had no experience programming whatsoever before that (other than iMacros).

Libraries are where it’s at. It doesn’t matter how much time you spend on syntax or perfecting the basics, you’re going to end up using a lot of other people’s work.

Get good with reading documentation and resisting the urge to pull your hair out when you have to rewrite the program a thousand times just to get a functional variant.

Learn C++ or C# to make stable bots.. But it will take you years to master any language.. If you are in a hurry just buy zennoposter or ubot studio..

You can also look into RPA, blueprism and UiPath.

30 days of learning python and you should be able to put together a simple bot, may take a little longer if you need to learn about anti detection methods.

If you want to develop windows desktop apps , c# is a good option. However you can use any programming language.

I think ubot costs hundreds and there's limitation to what you can do and you'll require more plugins with more money. i try for the long run to learn a skill and reduce the need for VAs, not to spend extra hundreds.

I think i'll go with python. just found a book called "Automate the boring stuff with python" the author also made it a Udemy course with the book content.

but a newbie question here, is building bots for browsers ( posting on social media ..etc ) and desktop ( doing tasks in programs like photoshop ) doable with python ?

If you wanna create realistic bots you'll need javascript too.

Both languages are same difficulty and both will get you jobs and income if you need to.

By realistic you mean with a user interface for interactivity ?

A lot is based on JS today. UI, interaction, analytics, etc.

Python + (selenium + phantomJS/chromedriver/firefoxdriver) OR requests (depends on the bot). It's damn easy to learn. If you need GUI, you can use pyqt.

I would advice against using Laravel/PHP for what you are doing.
