I have a old Domain i have redirected the domain to my domain i want to the correct way to redirect it because my seach console is showing old domains keywords on whic it was ranked what should i do get the traffic on my site and rank that keyword on my site.

1. Cpanel (u need to login and do redirection)
2. WP Plugin
Do it carefully because it brings few harms!. Once u do it, you can return it back. Your traffic, keyword and backlink will be redirected to the new site.

If the niches of both the sites are same it can be of great help. But make sure that you are doing the 301 redirect correctly

It totally depends on what type of website you have. You can just edit ".htacess file" of root directory of your site or use respective "Plugins".

Redirecting site should be niche relevant, you have to implemented correctly, if not it will hurt your site.
