Hello guys! I am currently building a page of business which I'd like to start in my country. I am at building website stage, where i'd have to fill up the information about the products, from my brief knowledge about selling I know that you need to trigger client's emotional part of the brain in order to get him buying your product.
I will be very very thankful if you can recommend me some guides/books/articles/tips on how to do that.

Products will be related with healthy niche, solving the "not enough time to eat healthy" problem.

Thanks in advance for your time!

There’s no extravagant psychology behind that. You simply offer to solve an issue that the customer is having. In this case, you recommend healthy supplements that people can take to compensate for their diets, or lack thereof.

From someone who’s into eating healthy and not having enough time in the day to consume the needed amount of whole foods, if a product is offering me a viable replacement for nutrition that I might be missing out on by not eating whole foods, I’m going to consider buying it.

The next step I would take is to look for reviews of the product on the store and on the internet in general. I wouldn’t mind a few negative reviews cuz I know they don’t work the same for everyone.

The trick is to be as genuine as possible and perhaps back your claims with a few scientific research papers. That’s a bonus. Anything that offers me ‘the world for peanuts’ instantly triggers my BS meter.

I spend a considerable amount of money every month on supplements and the above mentioned steps are what I’d take when I’m looking into a new supplement. Of course, if you’re a big timer in the industry, you’ve got validation and that’s crucial but if the big guys don’t have the product I’m looking for, that’s where the little guys can corner the market.

Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Robert Cialdini - Influence

This book can really be very useful.
I like it.

I havent started my own ecom store but this is something i have planned down the road.

Last year, i did quite amount of reading/research about what motivates people to buy something.

I highly recommend reading Neil Patel´s article on 15 Psychological Triggers to Convert Leads into Customers and QuickSprout post called Complete Guide To Understanding Customer Psychology

They both have unique approaches to the topic that will open your mind to many different things.

Personally, i would also add this article by CrazyEgg into the mix.

It really expands the content in a few topics that are worth the reading time, trust me.

Hope this helps,

Cheers!

You don't need to really be heavily focused on the buying emotions behind it... within reason most of that has gone out the window it's different when trying to do something charity related. You don't need to worry about tugging on heart strings these days the user has already decided they want the product thats why they are there you now need to SELL them the product:

- Your user is already qualified because you have sent them there
- They have found you through search because it's a product they want / service they want
- They have come to you via ads (this is where the "emotion" if any is done or more specifically impulse click / purchase)

Product pages are there to sell.

What you should be focusing instead is the information on offer. Buyers want to be informed more so I think if your in the health niche. You should be focusing on a few areas:

- Product focused information i.e what's the product, what it does and what it can do for you.
- Broad product content based around facts and topics around the "problem" your product is solving.
- Technical information - health charts, ingredients, restrictions anything like that IF applicable
- Additional product video / photos
- Product Back Story

If you are selling a singular product i.e one off then id also recommend doing a broad comparison with competitors at the bottom.

IF you have to scroll twice and there is continued information re-introduce the buy block within the body - this is even more important if you are doing a long form sales page. All depends what you have set up, how many products etc.

Try the book Smart Persuasion, by Philippe Aime, Jochen Grunbeck

It teaches you how to use persuasion techniques from masters like Daniel Kahneman (he won the Nobel prize), Robert Cialdini, Dan Ariely, and other experts.
You will learn a lot about all kinds of things like Cognitive Friction, Fear of Missing out, Reference pricing, Sunk Cost Effect, Von Restorff Effect, Perceived Value Pricing, Social biases and muuuuch more. They give examples for you to understand and explain to you how to use all of this information for your website.

Unfortunately, I didn't find the ebook on the internet ( maybe someone can upload it here, the book is really good ) I just borrowed from a friend.
But if you want to read a few pages to see what is all about, go on google and search " pdf extract-smart-persuasion ", and click on the first link ( the one from Nudgify.)

The only book I would recommend to someone - Marketing Sidekick :)

I surely have checked some guides before I post, but you know, you can always learn new things and I kinda like the topic for human psychology and how it operates so I wanted to dive a bit deeper. Thank you for the recommendation!

Thank you very much for the awesome answer! That's what i thought indeed i just wanted to be sure that i'll be sharing the information about product positives correctly.. Or i am just overthinking it, like I do always for everything..
But I've put some time into research, site, making videos for the advertisement part etc. etc. and wanted to be sure that I won't screw up something important as product description/landing pages, because i believe even the best advertisement won't be enough if these aren't "catchy" enough.

Just checked it out and seems to be very interesting, I found it as audiobook and will go through it for sure. Thank you very much!

You surely have to do it! Especially if you have the idea that will "fire" you up no matter the result - positive or negative it will be an awesome experience.
Seems like some important info is shared in them briefly, it will be a nice night read, i'll start them in a bit and take notes, thank you very much!

That's what "bothers" me at the moment, product pages. I will be selling few products, but I think that i'll be creating few landing pages for them, otherwise it will become a lot of information and text which will probably scare potential customers.. Don't know if that's actually a good Idea, but i thought to create different ad campaigns for different landing pages and also include related products part. But in this case I most likely won't have continued information and the buy block will be right there for the customer.

I am happy that we cover almost all steps, sadly in the start we won't be able to offer phone calls and consulting (I read that these calls are converting a lot..), but I have physical shop that I have to deal with and University and I won't be having the time to answer phone calls.. The chat will be "semi-live" i will be answering, but with some delay.. Hope that won't make a lot of clients to run away, but I'll be looking further when we start to see some sales to hire someone to do this..
