I am starting this journey tread to motivate myself to make it on Fiverr and also get some advice if there is others here that have Fiverr experience.

I have been on and of the BHW forum for years, but have not been active until now.

I have a daytime job in the oil industry, and are looking for a contingency plan and a way to have my own business.

It is a challenge if I get Fiverr work that I cant fulfill in my spare time. I have two kids, so my spare time is not unlimited

Anyway my strategy is to have gigs that I can execute fast, and have it more or less template based.

I will go for the 7 possible gigs, and focus on the best preforming gigs.

Right now I have 2 active gigs:

1) Keyword research

2) Influencer marketing outreach

I plan on updating this post monthly with the new gigs I create and the income.

Start point:

2 gigs

$0 income.

I assume that its not allowed to link to the gigs here, but if it is allowed I can link in the next update.

All the best buddy. What exactly do you do in your oil and gas day job?

I just wrote in a similar thread. Here is what I wrote:

Sorry for being the party pooper. :poop:

I just want to warn you. I had a great account on Fiverr. Made a lot of money. One day, the account got banned. Why? I don't know They won't tell.
I lost everything I've built in one day. No one agrees to explain to me what I did wrong.
I was doing everything right. I got 200+ orders per day. Everything was whitehat. Great reviews (more than 50K and 4 stars).

One day - it's all gone.
I've fired all my staff.
I lost all my income.

So why am I telling you that?

You can use Fiverr. Sure.
But never rely on one source. Don't invest in other platforms.
Build your own site and drive traffic there.

No one will shut you down.

My recommendation: Don't use Fiverr (as seller).

All the best....it might be hard getting buyers in the beginning buy persistence, they say is the key!

I work as piping designer and field engineer offshore.

Yes, its a risk to use others property to make money.
I have also a website that I plan to use for my business.
The reason I use fiverr is to get the ball rolling.
The problem is always you need time/money to make money and fiver is a platform with al lot of cusomers ready to spend money.
I see your point, espacially when you have numbers like you had.
As a new seller I have less to lose..
But it is a good advice you bring, I will try to find ways to move clients from Fiverr to my own site as I grow. I know you cant link or ask for mail from clients, but if you make a video or pdf, telling your site url or mail optin url it should be possible,.

Can I ask the niche or service you got these excellent numbers in?

Could you explain this
It is to research and do outreach in social media.

I will find influencers that have god engagement scores, and do outreach on the clients behalf.

Starting 7 gigs from beginning is a lot in my opinion.

Yes, if they are successful. But that is more or less a luxury problem..

But it is hard to get the fist sales, and I dont expect many sales the fist weeks..
The reason I will start 7 gigs is to filter out what is selling and what is not.

If I get many successful gigs I will outsouce.
I will make all my gigs possible for outsouching..

Not really. It's best to use up all 7 spots as long as the gig service is top notch, and the quality of the gig profile looks good.

All the best to the journey

Do you think you can offer this service on Upwork? I can try to get a few clients.
Thanks for the offer, but I am looking for alternative work now and not more of the same.. The reason I want to use fiverr instendig of upwork is that I can create my own gig and not work by the hour

Understood. All the best.

What was your niche?

Update after 1 month+.
Was ready to give up on the project, after more the 30 days without any sales.
But I got a sale some days ago, and got new inspiration :)
Got a 5 star review and a custom order from the same client.
I hope the stars can make my gigs more attractive.
Also changed the gigs to be mor laser targeted to my main service: keyword research.
The client was in the adult niche. I take all kinds of niches as long as they are legal.
If you want me to do some keyword research, I can give you the link to my gigs on fiver in private message.

One problem I have right now is that my profile is showing extreme long response time.
I shows 6 days respons time in my profile. I am 100% sure that it is a bug in the Fiverr software, since I know I have replied to all messages in lass than 1 hour.
I contacted Fiverr support 3 days ago and hav not heard anything. Where is their response rate shown??
The irony is just amazing!
After I started my journey I also bought some writing services on Fiverr, and I saw that they now take 2$ service fee on top of a 5$ gig..
The seller still only get 4$.. This greed can effect the order volume for all sellers....

That's one of the reasons I don't like dealing with Fiverr lol. They take 20% of your income and $2 or so off every order your customers do. I realize they are a business by 20% cut they take is quite outrageous imo.

Yes, fiverr is as greedy as flippa. Once these platforms realize that they have no real competitor, they start to dictate terms. People should boycott them and instead buy from their competitors so thay can realize that their outrageous fees is leading to loss of buyers. They will have no option then, other than to abolish the fees.

The problem is that there is few alternatives that is direct competitors to fiverrr. SEOclerks are similar for seo services, but the also take 20% fee...
Can you list a serious alternative to Fiverr
