Rankings up - traffic down?

I've recently gotten rank 2 or 3 across most of my major keywords for one of my businesses (each around 260-390 searches per month for local business keywords). As my rankings have increased though, I've noticed my traffic and lead submissions have actually gone down (per Google Analytics.)

Does anyone know why this could be? What would cause traffic to drop even with your rankings going up?

This is based on SerpFox data, and I confirmed the major ones manually.

Checked the bigger keywords manually, they line up with SerpFox.

Only checking main keywords, but I haven't had any noteworthy decreases in longtails that I've been tracking. Overall I haven't had any net decreases in any keyword I rank for.

Gently trending upward.

It might be, but I haven't noticed any seasonal dips before. Not in the beginning of the year, at least.

Only checking main keywords, but I haven't had any noteworthy decreases in longtails that I've been tracking. Overall I haven't had any net decreases in any keyword I rank for.

Interesting, something similar happened to me. I went up by 3 positions and got less sales, still don't know why/how that happened. More traffic = more sales you'd think.

Maybe a snippet box has appeared for your keywords and is stealing most of the traffic?

"each around 260-390 searches per month for local business keywords" its an estimated value and is the average of 12 months.There is a slight chance that people are actually not searching for your keywords.You can check your competitors as well using alexa whether they are getting clicks or not. This info can help you before making any conclusions in this scenario.

dont worry, If you check your analytics and search console, everything is ok then the problem is your keywords might not trending anymore at the moment
