Low volume keyword = easier to rank?

Is this really the case? Should I check allintitle: to see if there's a higher authority website that rank these low volume keywords? And if they do rank on them should I give up and search another?

If many high Authority sites already answered correctly for the keyword (whatever the search volume is), you should avoid that keyword. Example: If you see that the top 10 search results are dominated high Authority sites, it will be difficult for a low authority site to beat them. Also check about Keyword Golden Ratio:

What if those high authority site doesn't really rank for the keyword? For example their title might be similar to the keyword but not with the exact keyword, do you think I also need to avoid such keywords?

Potentially - yes.

There are plenty of low volume searches that are going to have high competition as well and avoid things like typos unless Google hasn't noticed.

Unfortunately not, doing allintitle is a good start, but it's just the tip of the iceberg.

A low volume does not always mean easier competition, I recommend that you do a serp check for your KW and see the DR of each page and the amount of content (and if it is relevant), look for kw that among the top 10 sites have parasites (pinterest, fb, yt) and part of them. This is how I do it.

Does the analysis take time? Yes, but in the long run I avoid a headache if a kW does not want to classify.

If the high Authority sites in top 10 search results doesn't target the exact keyword, you can try with exact long tail keyword to rank. At the same time, you should have some authority which increase the chances of ranking.

About KD scores from pretty much ANY SEO tool....Don´t pay attention to them!

I mean, yeah, take them for what they are.

A weighted average taking into account certain variables/factors.

Each tool has it´s on a formula to calculate that.

Just use them as a starting point for later conduct a much deeper and in-depth KD analysis.

Not necessarily. Some low volume keywords are still high competition. There's a lot more factors that come into play

You can still look into the content of this website.If he has old content or he is missing something like images or videos then you can have a chance to stand at least at 2nd position and continues posts about that keywords would bring you to 1st position eventually.As google always appreciate the fresh content.

it does not depend on volume, it depend on the competition. Low volume keywords have low competition most of the time.

To start with, low competitive keywords (Good Volume) are best. Once they strat ranking, go for medium competitive keywords.

Just don't rely on kw planner alone. Sort a lost of competitors & analyze using tools like ahrefs.
