Computer screen goes dark for few seconds after restart

No I didn't pick it at random. I put together the computer I wanted, and I had a guy who sold me my last gpu hear the specs and recommend a CHEAP/affordable gpu for me. He gave me this one. Another member here on the forum confirmed it's ok.

They have good reviews and stuff there. people experiment there and they have cpu builds for everything from work related to anything..

They only suggest the best in case of affordability and other things..
in case you ever need in future..

And GPU, takes the heavy work from your processor. In simple language it just makes every Function smooth.

How do you feel about the computer I am building now?

RAM - 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4/3200 KINGSTON HX432C16FB3K2/32, HyperX Fury (will probably add 16 or 32GB more)

CPU - CPU AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 3.7 GHz (4.3 GHz), 8 Cores/16 Threads, 16MB L3 Cache, 12nm, 105W, Wraith Prism with RGB LED, Socket AM4

I have no idea how much I'll be able to get out of this new computer. I'll know when I put it together and put its ass to work!

But I have 2 other older computers and 1 lap top that combined don't produce as much as my other computer (the one I mentioned a few replies back). So I'm thinking of selling these 2 computers and the lap top, get some $600 for them, and then add another $400-600 on top and build another one, even better. My next computer is gonna have to be a BHW collaboration, where I outline what I use it for and you guys all chime in and we do it like dat. I'll put a BHW sticker on it and put it to work :D

Anyway, I'm getting off subject here...

This thread will continue when I get the time and energy to open up the computer and put in the new gpu. Then I'll test to see if I still get/need these blackouts so that my computer works properly. If that's not it, I'll also add/remove Ram chips and test that too. And we'll take it from there...

Yeah... but that website can't understand what I use it for an go on that. I can't tell it I plan on opening 100 Firefoxes, and play youtube and facebook videos on them, so that it maybe advises me to get a lower end gpu to save some money, and get the best cpu in the world, or whatever it may be. Also the website has no street smarts and real world experience :D

I'll take working with a website/machine over a human every day of the week and on Sunday, but some things require human love :D

You can always create a forum thread there explaining what you will be doing. all the list are made by real person there and in the forum i am pretty sure people will advise you something better just tell them your budget :) They will suggest what is best.

I think it is better to ask people there in that forum because they are experts and we are not that much experts here :)
 
Make sure that new card is compatible with the old pc mobo before you connect it, otherwise it could f-up the board or the card.

also if you need cloud backup on the new pc give me a shout I can hook you up with free lifetime license of live drive cloud backup (RRP £60/year). :cool:

Thanks for the offer man, but I don't really need that. In terms of backups I prefer to use external hard drives over the cloud. But I don't really need any backups either for the computer, all it has on it are the programs I run, and I have them backed up and can easily recreate them if I must. Thanks though :)

I really wanna test the gpu, but I can't play with that computer now because it's working and I can't have downtime. Also I want to wait for the motherboard and power supply to arrive for the new computer I'm putting together, then put myself into "computer building" mode and do it all then :D

Okay, I might as well do this now. I'll also get to test the gpu and if there's anything wrong with it I have enough time to get a different one until my motherboard and psu arrive.

Oh, the gpu doesn't have a vga connector :/

Good thing I have a DVI-D to VGA adapter here.

I plugged everything in and am about to turn the computer on.

Will it explode? Will we get picture on the monitor? Will it start a chain reaction of bad shit that will eventually exterminate all humanity?

Ok I turned it on and it made 3 or 4 beeping noises.

The computer seems to be on. But I get no display on the monitor.
 
I restarted it. Again got 3 or 4 beeping noises. Nothing on the screen.

Hold on, I messed up. This gpu requires an 8 pin connector to be connected to work. The other gpu didn't need that so I didn't have that in my head.

So hold on chill relax :D
