Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

Exactly the same for me.

Most of my pages that drove my trafic got de-indexed. Some are still indexed but jumped from page 1 to page 8++ ...
SO impossible to understand. Even the ranking on my domain name (MincirPlaisir) which was #2 is now out of top 100 ...
Google, please, fix this ASAP :(

However, for that site the same issue. 10 properties are indexed with my original content in the serps and I appear as the 5th. So it's suffering from a duplicate penalty it seems.

EDIT: this 3rd property is not redirecting to an adult offer but it's redirecting to a site in the same niche (competitor most likely).

How do you check, at a global SITE LEVEL, if your site has been copied ? Because if I have to check article after article, can last a while ... ?
 
A proof that something is wrong at Google : the number FAQ snippets is decreasing in my GSC but I have never deleted any FAQ (there's no error in GSC)...
In fact, it is decreasing because Google is deindexing my pages gradually... unbelievable... :(
By the way, searching keywords related to my deindexed pages now shows pages of my website that have nothing to do with the keywords and off course very low in the serps...

I'm french too, and also in the fitness / weigh loss niche. Imo, during this Google update, one of the target is this kind of niche. YLYM + EAT.

We see EXACTLY the same thing regarding the pages of our site ranking on some of our keywords...and very low in the SERP !

Well, yes and no. I agree that it's well known that in the weight loss niche you need to have good EAT. But there are tons of websites IN FRONT of us that are SHIT with EAT. Also, when you get EAT penalized, you don't jump from page 1 to page 150 ...
 
Guys, let's face it, this update is a complete mess and there isn't ANY logical reason why some sites tanked, and why others didn't. We have to wait until Google fix that sh#t, there is nothing else that we can do. Personally, this bullcrap is driving me nuts.

This is not full random tho.

Friends and I have health / wieght loss / well-being niche. Some white hat, grey hat and black hat. And a lot of us got hit. I can see a pattern.

Imo this update has many differents points, but one of them is niches. Health niche has been hit, with the same filter you can find on gambling, loans etc.

Which filters do you think that is for the health niche ?

someone here got hit on his recipes site, i have trouble with my software site
 
My website is about promo codes / deals, so nothing to do with health/fitness, only unique content, 500 words minimum for each page.

I have same issue but on searching with domain.com i m still on 1st. For few low search volume terms my home page still ranks on 8+ pages ( actual pages are deindexed for those terms which used to rank on first page)

which niche are you in? Health/weight loss ?
 
Some of our sites got hit too, but they came back last week. My bet is that Google was giving preference to sites with better content than mine, or higher page authority in ecommerce, as they were possibly smoking out hustlers like myself during Christmas. Ironically, Christmas isn't our biggest time, so we didn't care. :)
