Are Chinese domains junk?

I found am expired domain, but it's Chinese! These are the stats i only have the free Ahref link checker to use

Backlinks
6,127,84098% ********
Referring domains
2,50791% ********

From what i can see in wayback machine the website has been the same for years and have over 1000 pages still indexed.

What do you think? was thinking for doing a 301

Yes, they are toxic junk mostly.

And doing 301 redirect of unrelated domain with completely unrelated and foreign anchors and possibly also penalized is a great way how to commit SEO suicide.

If the content is in chinese but the anchors are clean, is it still disposable? Even if it has good metrics and lots of indexed pages on google?

Don't try to cut the corners. Unless it was legit site, which is maybe 1 in 1000, avoid it.

A couple of times, but this was a few years back.

However, there should be no reason why it wouldn't work today.

I just wouldn't buy a domain that is already heavily penalized and not ranking in Google.

Like I said, always TEST. Even if it worked for me, doesn't mean it will work for you. And just because it didn't work for you, doesn't mean it won't work for someone else. Always test things. ALWAYS.
