Just gave these 'Guys a go, and bought the 1 day plan for $20. So here's some of the takeaways if any of you are interested.
By far and away ProxyGuys have the fastest, and cleanest proxies of any of the other service providers offering residential SOCKS5 with city/state geo-specification within the United States.
There's no question that PG are not working in the shadows, so to speak, like some of their competition (*cough* botnets *cough*). Throughout the duration there was never an issue with maintaining persistence and each connection was exactly as advertised. Location and provider data was checked using IPInfo (ipinfo.io), and IPLocation (iplocation.net). Privacy and leak testing passed WhatLeaks (whatleaks.com), and IPQualityScore (ipqualityscore.com).
The user panel was pretty easy to navigate, however it may prove a little cumbersome to nescient beginners, for instance, when switching the method of authentication from User: Pass to WL, and vice versa. Other than that use is self-explanatory and the lack of a proprietary front-end client was a welcome sight deviating from the trend... the hard reset, IP refresh function was neat, and the only other provider I've seen offer this being DSLRoot.
The only negatives to report are a somewhat limited location selection, particularly in the midwest region. They have already worked to expand their selection with 3 new city/states, however, and hopefully they will continue this trend as their business inevitably grows.
