Day 0: Yo yo I am plastered, but bear with me.

Intro:
I've been reading everything I can about IM this past month, and getting a clearer idea of the whole "big picture." I can honestly say I get all this shit now and am ready to try my hand at something to get a whiff of that make-money-while-you-sleep pie.

You feel? I'm itchin to get fucking started.

So I was reading through one of the threads @Goddissee posted in "Making Money," and it finally hit me: "Yeah boy, we gonna do this shit."

Now, it's not anything revolutionary. It involves a shitload of CPA, and it's been done to death before -- but unlike regular-ass AM it's not saturated to death and only a few players have really capitalized on it. The idea?: Nah lol, fuck off I'll let you know when I'm ready to sell.

Why is no one pouncing on it? Because the money isn't quick, and it takes so much more fucking work than most schemes. I would say it's more involved than @Chipicao 's streaming services (yes, brother I know the pain it is populating and maintaining databases, it's harder than even that).

Purely whitehat too (well, on the surface ;)

So far:

Aight now that all that shit is out of the way, what have I done so far?

First, I needed a domain name. Now, com/org/net whatever, we all know that shit is saturated and you're not getting anything good unless you make up some unmemorable name or wanna shell up some serious cash. Fuck that. I looked into alternative TLDs and fuck one just stuck out to me. It called to me. Like I was a sexless virgin and Gianna Michaels herself offered to suck my dick. It was magic.

But your boy ain't no fool; I ain't goin in blind. Common sense dictates that common TLDs rank better in SERP. Yeah yeah, well I did some extensive research and turns out it's not that big of a difference anymore -- unless you use absolute shit TLDs like .biz. Backlinks are still king. So aight, we goin with the vanity TLD.

Well, I searched around for a good bit, and everything solid from an IM-perspective is taken or it costs mad-loads of money. What the fuck. Aight, well I search a bit more and fucking fall onto a really good domain name. All the ones similar to it are "Premium" and start at around $5k (median $50k/year renewal wtf lol). But damn, I'm not questioning and I snipe that shit like I'm Viet Cong. $7. Got a chubby thinking how good a deal I got.

Then another thought hits me: "wait, let me try one more name... just in case." And fuck me raw with a xenomorph ovipositor dildo, that shit wasn't taken. And just like the last, it was only $7. Boys, I'm talking not one prime real-estate domain name, but two, and one's a fucking beach-side mansion with no property taxes -- all at firesale prices. Hell, if this project falls through, I can always grow these two domain names and net a few $K when they're ripe.

Fuck, that shit gave me a full on boner, not gonna lie.

Anyway, onto hosting. My buzz is fading so I'll keep it short; I found a VPS host that offered the following specs:

  • 3 core vCPU
  • 40GB SSD
  • 2.5GB RAM
  • 5TB 1gbps Bandwidth (Monthly)
  • CentOS 8
  • $30/year
  • $30/year
Fuck yeah. They were having a holiday special, and these specs are perfect for a web-server. If this project falls through, I'll still have the server, and if it doesn't, I can load up more sites on it. WIN/WIN motherfucker. I won't know how reliable it is until it goes live, but for now this is perfect. Certainly beats the shit out of most VPS providers' pricing (e.g DigitalOcean). I can always get something better when the money starts rolling in.

What's next:

In order to make the cash I so desire, this shit needs a few more things:
  1. Minimal Viable Website:
Basically, I need to create a site that acts as the homebase for what I'm selling.
  2. Affiliate Network:
I need to join some affiliate networks and get some offers rolling in. Simple. Specialty here is CPA.
  3. Traffic source:
    Self-explanatory.
That's it. Once I have all three down, I'll be able to launch barebones and start testing out my assumptions, making adjustments to plans, and optimizing for cash flow.
Tomorrow, I'll be doing the majority of the legwork for (1): Web-server configuration, WordPress setup, minor adjustments. Once most of that is taken care of, I gotta start doing some real research into CPA offers and mechanics. I know fuck all about it, but I know enough to learn and find my way through.

Closing (TL;DR):
I know what I need to do and I'm going to do it. This thread will be used to document the process, but mostly to keep myself accountable, and to stave off the crippling anti-social tendencies this type of work brings. Future posts aren't going to be this verbose, but I needed to get my thoughts out.

I'll be including a balance sheet at the bottom of each post to track my real time revenue and expenditures.

Balance Sheet:
Revenue: $0
Expenses: ($0)
Domain Names: ($14)
Hosting: ($30)
______________
Net: ($44) LOSS

That was a hell of a read.

Bless you soldier and best of luck.

Very well planned start. Good reading though. best of luck mate.

Day 1: Good, but not great

Short and sweet:

*****Aight, so to keep things short, I got a solid 6 hours of work done on the project today, but I know I can fit more in tomorrow.

What went wrong:
  • Fucked up my sleep schedule the day before by drinking. Woke up at 9am instead of usual 5am. Won't happen again tomorrow
  • Spent the first 3 critical hours today dealing with girl shit. Problem has been permanently dealt with
  • Tolerated a shitty internet connection for far too long. Made doing work through SSH too fucking slow and crippled my workflow. Fixed
  • Wasn't efficient and strict with my time today, so I didn't manage to do the CPA research I needed. Going to do some quick research after I'm done posting this, to prime myself for tomorrow's sesh
What went right:
  • Server is completely setup: Total 6 hours
    1. Configuring CentOS (security, utilities, LAMP stack): 3 hours
    2. Configuring Wordpress from source (fucking debugging): 3 hours
Bitching:

*****As you can see, pretty lack-luster results. If I had to do it again, I would use a server that runs Debian/Ubuntu. CentOS is solid, but for getting shit up and running quick, nah son, it's a lot of fucking headache trying to piece together what to do from a shit-ton of outdated tutorials. Ubuntu/Debian have so many more online resources going for them, that you can pretty much completely rely on them no matter what.

*****One of the other perks of Ubuntu/Debian is that Wordpress is already in their package manager (apt). What the fuck does that mean for all you naives? It means that I can run a simple command like:

Code:
apt install wordpress curl apache2 mariadb-server

*****And just like that everything is setup. That's it. Could've saved myself three fucking hours, but whatever. You live and you learn.

*****Anyway, glad that shit is fucking done and over with. The server's basically all setup, and I won't need to touch the backend any time soon.

What's next:

I've run out of time, so I'll bullet point everything I need to do tomorrow:

  • CPA Research
*****Get a high-level view of the field and its techniques. Start looking at offers. Will take up the majority of tomorrow
    *****
  • SSL + Nameservers
*****Need to get a LetsEncrypt SSL cert up and setup the domain name to point at my server. Shouldn't take more than an hour
    *****
  • Better Time Management
*****Simple. I did 6 solid hours of work (real work, a lot more was spent waiting around for my wifi to pick up), I know I can do atleast 10 tomorrow, and 12 would be great
    *****
  • Fasting
*****Yeah, an outlier, but it's vital. I stress eat like mad and can usually pound down 3-4k cals in a single sitting of pure trash. Plus my energy and mental clarity take a dive whenever I eat too much. Fasting lets me sleep for only 5 hours too. All of this shit combined, and it's a perfect habit to pick up. I have like 50lbs to lose before I'm 8% BF, so I'll be able to keep it up for about a month or two

Replies:

wish you all the best.
Keep it up.
Good luck for your journey, mate!
Best of luck bro
I appreciate it.

That was a hell of a read.

Bless you soldier and best of luck.
Very well planned start. Good reading though. best of luck mate.
Thank you, both.

@Purush congrats on the 5k posts as well.

Have you tried writing? for someone else maybe?
Yeah, I was looking into copywriting in December. The math didn't work out though:

  • Client Acquisition: Minimum 1-2 months before I got any good clients
  • Potential Income: Capped at around 40-60k for my first year, because I can't demand a high price. This is, with a shitload of grinding and work running a freelance/consultancy gig
  • It's fucking boring: I'm exactly like @Divination (very thorough journeys), and I can't stand doing the same exact thing for more than like an hour. Doing nothing but writing would make me want to blow my fucking brains out. IM is different in this regard, because there's always something different you could be doing if you get bored

Balance Sheet:
Revenue:***************$0

Expenses:*************($44)

Goodluck mate, Following your journey , I love reading through your post . feels like reading my nest Hadley chase novel back then.

:D:D Highly entertaining post, honestly one of the realest threads I’ve read on here in a long time. Good luck!

Day 2: I have become mush, fuck

Dear Diary:

*****5:00AM: Fuck, I'm hyped. Got all the shit I needed to get done today. Didn't even have to pop any stims (coffee is legal... and ephedrine is OTC) to keep the workload up. TL;DR -- Everything's on track.

*****4:00PM: Fuck, I'm dead. Posting this early, and going to go take a break to lift, and socialize. I'll come back to this later in the evening and do some more reading.

Yesterday's Shit:
  • Better Time Management:
*****Y'all motherfucks KNOW I woke up at 4:45AM today. Hell, I could barely sleep from how excited I was to actually do some real work. I think I got a solid 5-6 hours of not-solid sleep. @hatfromthewilds
    *****
  • SSL + Nameservers:
*****Fuck Wordpress, fuck that bitch Apache too. As soon as I can, I'm hiring some autist to maintain all this technical shit -- but everything's all tight right now.
    *****
  • Fasting:
*****Food is an illusion. I don't need it. I didn't eat it. I don't believe in it.
    *****
  • CPA Research:
*****Aight, so the bulk of the day was supposed to be spent researching CPA -- and it was, although there's not a lot to research for me at the moment -- what really ended up happening was browsing through BHW threads and applying to an assload of affiliate networks:
    *****
Affiliate Networks:
(sourced responsibly from ODigger, AFFPaying, and OfferVault)
  • Accepted Me With Open Arms:
    • ClickBank
    • MarketHealth
    • CJ Affiliate
    • JVzoo
    • CPABuild
    • CPALead
    • AdWorkMedia
      *****
  • Playing Hard to Get (waiting for phone call):
    • OGads
    • MaxBounty
    • M4trix
    • PayV
    • AdscendMedia
    • TORO Advertising
    • Express Revenue
    • Panthera
    • CrackRevenue
      *****
  • Told Me to Fuck Off:
    • ClickBooth
      *****
  • "Another Time, sweetheart":
    • PeerFly
      *****
Notes:

"Why all these fools need a Skype/AIM? Tf, this is 2020. Whatever, I hope one of those hot account managers calls me up to "verify" my "identity." ;)" -- Nanite

"Applied to a shit ton of networks, but the bulk of my free time was reading more relevant BHW threads." -- Also Nanite

"Did all of this for a solid 11 hours before I became discombobulated: everything on the screen is melting, I see the words and know what they mean, but just like them, I too am goo." -- Yeah, it's me retard

Tomorrow's Shit:

  • Better Time Management:
*****I got to 11 hours -- from my 10-12 planned -- but I don't feel like I used them the best I could have. Definitely also, because I didn't take any breaks and my work output completely crashed at the 11 hour mark. At 6-7 I was already nodding off. I'll have to find one or two more "things" (research/development/etc.) to split my time on, and then take regular, short breaks to recollect myself. I have a journal that I've been neglecting, will need to start planning out my time in there from now on. Another good thing: I was writing this post out piece-by-piece from the start of the day (you can see the life fucking drain out of me slowly), and I managed to break-up the half/full hour I would usually take to write this shit out in the evening, into much smaller chunks throughout the day.
    *****
  • Some Other Shit About CPA
*****I'll figure it out tomorrow. Gotta look at those offers and see what I can scrounge together. It's incentive-based CPA, so shit's gonna have to work with the economy of scale
Closing:

*****Not even fazed by how mush my mind is or that the best ad-networks denied/are likely going to deny me -- just more shit to work towards to. I have no expectations of where I'll end up (see: thread title, no "Journy to $XXX,XXX" ;), all I know is that I'm moving forward day-by-day towards my goalof making a shitload of cash. That's all I can really do; take each day as it comes, give my best, and stay (ir)rationally positive.

JUST KEEP SWIMMING JUST KEEP SWIMMING, CHOO CHOO, THOMAS NEVER GAVE UP. THOMAS CHOO CHOO'ED THROUGH ALL OF HIS PROBLEMS. JUST KEEP SWIMMING, MOTHERFUCKERS YOU'LL MAKE IT. I BELIEVE IN MYSELF.

good luck mate
Well organized & motivated, I like it.
Good luck in your journey.
Thanks, bros ;)

Good luck. The writing kind of reminds me of a famous thread some years ago full of f's.

Edit: here it is :p https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-simplest-1k-you-can-ever-make.1054745/
Short, profane, and so simple even an illiterate can understand: as all things should be.

Fuck, I need to go lift.
