Day 0: Yo yo I am plastered, but bear with me.
Intro:
I've been reading everything I can about IM this past month, and getting a clearer idea of the whole "big picture." I can honestly say I get all this shit now and am ready to try my hand at something to get a whiff of that make-money-while-you-sleep pie.
You feel? I'm itchin to get fucking started.
So I was reading through one of the threads @Goddissee posted in "Making Money," and it finally hit me: "Yeah boy, we gonna do this shit."
Now, it's not anything revolutionary. It involves a shitload of CPA, and it's been done to death before -- but unlike regular-ass AM it's not saturated to death and only a few players have really capitalized on it. The idea?: Nah lol, fuck off I'll let you know when I'm ready to sell.
Why is no one pouncing on it? Because the money isn't quick, and it takes so much more fucking work than most schemes. I would say it's more involved than @Chipicao 's streaming services (yes, brother I know the pain it is populating and maintaining databases, it's harder than even that).
Purely whitehat too (well, on the surface
So far:
Aight now that all that shit is out of the way, what have I done so far?
First, I needed a domain name. Now, com/org/net whatever, we all know that shit is saturated and you're not getting anything good unless you make up some unmemorable name or wanna shell up some serious cash. Fuck that. I looked into alternative TLDs and fuck one just stuck out to me. It called to me. Like I was a sexless virgin and Gianna Michaels herself offered to suck my dick. It was magic.
But your boy ain't no fool; I ain't goin in blind. Common sense dictates that common TLDs rank better in SERP. Yeah yeah, well I did some extensive research and turns out it's not that big of a difference anymore -- unless you use absolute shit TLDs like .biz. Backlinks are still king. So aight, we goin with the vanity TLD.
Well, I searched around for a good bit, and everything solid from an IM-perspective is taken or it costs mad-loads of money. What the fuck. Aight, well I search a bit more and fucking fall onto a really good domain name. All the ones similar to it are "Premium" and start at around $5k (median $50k/year renewal wtf lol). But damn, I'm not questioning and I snipe that shit like I'm Viet Cong. $7. Got a chubby thinking how good a deal I got.
Then another thought hits me: "wait, let me try one more name... just in case." And fuck me raw with a xenomorph ovipositor dildo, that shit wasn't taken. And just like the last, it was only $7. Boys, I'm talking not one prime real-estate domain name, but two, and one's a fucking beach-side mansion with no property taxes -- all at firesale prices. Hell, if this project falls through, I can always grow these two domain names and net a few $K when they're ripe.
Fuck, that shit gave me a full on boner, not gonna lie.
Anyway, onto hosting. My buzz is fading so I'll keep it short; I found a VPS host that offered the following specs:
- 3 core vCPU
- 40GB SSD
- 2.5GB RAM
- 5TB 1gbps Bandwidth (Monthly)
- CentOS 8
- $30/year
- $30/year
What's next:
In order to make the cash I so desire, this shit needs a few more things:
- Minimal Viable Website:
Basically, I need to create a site that acts as the homebase for what I'm selling. - Affiliate Network:
I need to join some affiliate networks and get some offers rolling in. Simple. Specialty here is CPA. - Traffic source:
Self-explanatory.
Tomorrow, I'll be doing the majority of the legwork for (1): Web-server configuration, WordPress setup, minor adjustments. Once most of that is taken care of, I gotta start doing some real research into CPA offers and mechanics. I know fuck all about it, but I know enough to learn and find my way through. Closing (TL;DR):
I know what I need to do and I'm going to do it. This thread will be used to document the process, but mostly to keep myself accountable, and to stave off the crippling anti-social tendencies this type of work brings. Future posts aren't going to be this verbose, but I needed to get my thoughts out.
I'll be including a balance sheet at the bottom of each post to track my real time revenue and expenditures.
Balance Sheet:
Revenue: $0
Expenses: ($0)
Domain Names: ($14)
Hosting: ($30)
______________
Net: ($44) LOSS
