Hey - just wanted to drop information in the ebay section. I used to buy/sell a lot locally when I was younger (16 or so) and I know how profitable some of you guys are with eBay with this. This can also be applied to dropshipping items from Amazon to Ebay as it's the same thing essentially.

But I wanted to direct my focus on those who are drop shipping or buying things for a bargain and selling it back on ebay. Hopefully this helps you guys out. I want to be very straight forward this is something I've wanted to do but really don't have the time to manage and patience so hopefully this helps anyone wanting to do eBay or make some money.

Summary

The reason why I know about this is because I used to use this website and always wondered what others on the opposite side benefited from me using the site.

Website name - Purse.io

So the whole jist of this message is trying to get the most profit on items that people buy often. Now I know a lot of people currently buy things off for example Best Buy on HUGE discounts and resell it on eBay or any sales platform later correct? Of course there are people like that.

What if I tell you you can get an extra 20% off those items? and put that essentially right in your pocket. Now you can. This has been going on for some time now and I wanted to let some people in on this.

So there is this website called purse.io what they let you do is you can get discounts by buying items with bitcoin - sellers will buy the items for you (sent as a gift to your doorstep + they can't see any personal info all protected) and you will pay them via BTC at a lower %. The percentages can range from 5% - 33%. It's a classic type of a market.

When you place a buy on an item the lower the % the faster you get the item. The higher % the slower you get the item. As you buy more and more from purse.io the more % you can get off your item you want. Here is an example of buy orders that will get filled within a couple of days max:

Aha! Bingo - so here's an example of what people buy "items" for. So let's go to the 20% off $500 order for "shaomengda"

Okay so what does this mean?

This person wants 5x $100 gift cards from Sephora for $500 total. But wants 20% of the item. Someone who wants to turn their amazon balance/amazon gift cards into BTC will come to this website accept the offer and send the item right to her/his door step. After the person receives the item they will then send BTC to purse for a value of (20% off $500) = $400. The seller is happy because they got rid of their Amazon Balance/Gift Card. The person buying the gift cards is happy because they paid $400 for a $500 item(s).

Aha! So right there we can see it's possible to make 20% profit off any item (so we can buy for example Best Buy gift cards.) essentially we can find on stores such as this item:

JjQIFA5

If you make them pay for shipping - you'd make roughly $40 per iPad you sell (give or take)

But how can we hit 40-50% + per item we sell? We buy gift cards such as Best Buy and wait for some sales (they happen REALLY REALLY often). Best Buy is interesting because they always have things % off such as this item:

There are other lists sold for $1000-$1100 but they are all opened box. This one got sold for so high because it's "Brand New" - so if you are able to find some good deals that are opened box compare those to eBay sold items and see if you can make a profit.

There's none I can find that are a really good deal right now because it's after Christmas - I could only imagine if I had made this thread near Black Friday where normal retail items price 50% off with the extra 30% - jeez... you can be making a lot of money right now off your investment.

Important Info:

One thing you have to realize - these are at moderate 20% rates. You can get up to 33% off on certain items. I feel like 20-25% is a reasonable discount based on what I used to sell to these buyers - I myself were providing gift cards often so I'd maybe sell to 5-10 buyers a day or so? So I'm sure there are many more people like me that sell to purse.io so I'd say yeah 20-25% is reasonable for a couple of days.

My method would be to buy maybe $2000-$3000 worth of gift cards @ maybe 25-30% and wait till a sale comes up and possibly double my money if not get close to it.

If you are doing this more moderately I recommend building up your account to up to 20% or so and maybe buy items at like $100-$200 (worth) and try to make $20-$30 per item you sell and maybe make a couple hundred a month.

I'm sure there is some huge dropshipper that does Amazon to Ebay or needs items at a discounted rate that can use this so enjoy :)!

Closing Statement

Anyone who is an expert at eBay - please let me know what you think.
If you are currently doing this let me know what issues you have etc.
I mean in my head it's pretty simple. Look for a good deal - make sure you're buying gift cards from purse.io and sell the item after the sale and make a lot of money.
(Even during the sale as people have no clue because they only buy off ebay at times)

In my head this all makes sense - the only obstacle I see is leveling up your purse.io account to get higher discount rates but it shouldn't take too long.

If you are really patient buy at 30% + wait for a Black Friday type sale buy at like 30-60% off and resell it. That's some big profit.

This method I called it "possible" because I personally haven't tested this but to me it makes sense that it would work. Good luck! Let me know :)!

When you buy Gift cards on purse.io and wait until there's a rise in the market price for the Gift card, it's a risky game. The person that sells the Gift card for you on purse.io can redeem the card before you.

My thought though.

Actually 0 risk associated with this.
When you buy the item for the "buyer" - it's sent as a "gift" the address is actually hidden.
So if I buy gift cards for someone IM forced to send it as a gift to the buyers address so it never even gets to me esentially
Just the buyer. (and hides their address)

Unsure how they do this but it's done so there is 0 risk with gift cards.
They won't accept your order if this isn't done correctly

But yes good eye for looking at this but 0 risk associated with it in that aspect.

Oh now I get your point. You buy an item on purse.io for your customer. The former ships the item on your behalf as a gift item to the latter.

Okay, but what I'm still not clear about is where you are mentioning Gift cards.

Do you also intend buying Gift cards for your customers using the same method described above?

So the method splits into two ways:

- Buying stuff from Amazon and dropshipping it directly to their house your profit would be (Profit off the item (if any) + Your discount from purse.io + discount from amazon (if any))

but the more profitable method is buying gift cards from companies like Best Buy, Sephora, etc.
(Best buy lists a lot of good deals for example so you may get a BIGGER discount from them than amazon would ever offer)

Sorry I don't think I mentioned I compared the price from Best Buy store to Ebay item store above.

I now understand your points clearly.

I will prefer to go with the Gift card method, because it's always in high demand.

Very insightful post.

Sorry my English is not the best and I dont know if I undesteand this method correctly

It goes like this:
1) You buy gift cards (amazon, best buy etc...) worth lets say 1000€, but you actually pay less for them (lets say 800€)
2) You wait for a sale on site you ve purchased your gift cards (amazon, best buy ...), and pick a product you want to flip (lets say IPhone 11 before was for 1000€ now for 700€)
3) Then you flip the product you purchased for lets say 900€ so your profit is 900 - 700 = 200€ (from flipping ) + 20% (from what you saved on actual value of giftcards)

Is it correct?

This is really a confusing method. What is happening here? What are you buying and where the heck these gift cards come into the equation? If a sale is going on on BestBuy for $900, why would someone pay $1200 on eBay? BestBuy is a well-known brand, unlike Aliexpress.

The gift cards from purse.io when you pay with BTC you get 20% off.

A $1000 go is $800

when best buy has a sale from a laptop that’s worth $1300 and it goes for $1000 you only paid $800 technically

on ebay people are stupid they buy normal products at retail price (showed the ipad example above)
unsure why but they do if anything maybe $10 cheaper.

so technically in the example i just provided you made $500.

you can view sold items on ebay by filtering it

Exactly / people on ebay pay retail price normally because they aren’t aware of the sale or sometimes they only have an ebay gift card and want something nice

Thanks! Got it now.

Realise what you are doing. You are buying gift card with your legit credit card, for an item that the guy probably uses stolen credit cards or something black hat.
Anything that involves gift card is usually black hat. If you are not getting scammed, somebody else is getting scammed. Don't support it unless you know something is done 100% legit.

Waiting for some disgruntled partner to come out of the woodwork and shit on Keiron. In for popcorn. Jk jk :D

Do you know of any other platforms like Purse.io? Preferably with APIs.

Try doing 33% and you get no response from any seller - Also you have no control over orders vs the regular method which you can ask Amazon for returns or cancel a transaction midway.
It is true you get a discount but its not as you get it without losing anything.
