I have a question. Backlinks in Aref and semrush

You can see 172000 links like the image above. I don't think this is 172000 different links. What exactly does this figure mean? And I also wonder what Referring domains mean. When you buy a link, sometimes more than 20,000 go up with just 100 links. Some links don't go above 100 even if they are very indexed. I'm really curious.

Backlinks are the total links summing up every domain that has links on it
For example, if you have a site with 1000 pages and a link to that site in the footer, you will have 1000 backlinks

But since the 1000 pages are from the same domain, you will only have 1 referring domain (RD)

Or forum signatures most likely. Could be a spammed site (using software like senuke) as well.
