Hello there!

Lately, fell in love (not by my choice) with google ads.

So, I've launched a few campaigns, found a little niche for me and had advertisements running for a couple of days. But then I've had an arrow in the knee.

The campaign started with like 300 impressions daily. In a couple of days I've reached a thousand impressions daily. After that moment of brilliance I had no impressions almost for a week. Suddenly, received a few thousands (wow after previous results) impressions and ... no impressions at all for a few more days. Yesterday, I've had 7 thousands, tell me how much I have today?

Before the last day, I've increased budgets (by google suggestion) and did optimise my campaign almost to the limits. And impressions came for a day.

I don't wanna have those roller coaster rides, what is wrong with the google algorithms? I see many messages on such an issue on google forums with no answers, but Ad gurus promoting their super methods, i.e.: disable/enable your campaign, increase cpc, clear browser's cache and cookies.

Does anybody experience the same?

What is happening nowadays is more random backend account reviews (these are automatic reviews) and will happen more often if you keep making changes. But, bear in mind that various aspects of the review algorithms keep fluctuating, so what is difficult today may be hard tomorrow and vice versa. Best thing to do is make your campaign very thoughtfully and then make no or almost no changes to it. Run 1 campaign single niche per account. When you see "we can't determine the reason why your ad is not showing" means there is an account review happening.
You've mentioned that you are fairly new to Google Ads. Do not give up, you will soon learn a lot and please keep experimenting. This is the best time to earn through Google Ads, as most of the people running CPA, etc have given up & left the scene, due to account related concerns. (Hence, less competition). But, for those who hustle, it is still going well & will continue to go fine. Do not give up, keep learning and keep growing.

To add a little

Too many changes for a new account could get the account banned ...or something out of the blue happens to the account

Eg...destination not working even when your site is working fine

Business misrepresentation... Just because you advertising to another geo

So..if you have your account running ok...do not make any change

Thanks for the replies, gives a breathe of "don't give up" airs

Yep, I want to hold still on my aim, because there always will be obstacles and I really want to get my first penny on that niche.

Little more information: first time I've had ads running I had money page set up already, and on the first few clicks I've had a little suspicious redirects there. I've thought that ads stopped showing because of that (but why if I did not get banned). I've reset everything a bit and closed money page, after a little mess on ads account I've had a blast with views again and haven't touched everything since the moment ads gone up. However, Now I have zero again.

It feels like google goblins just press switches forward and backwards randomly.

I do. I even called google twice to know why my ads weren't running and each time I got a different response. Seems not even their support staff have a clue. Very disappointing.

Are you advertising on the display network or just on the SERPS?

I'm doing the traditional one, only on SERPs.

That is so dumb that they can't even tell anything on the phone as they don't even seem to know. I've also found a few messages of a guy, who had like 7 one-hour calls with Google, where he didn't get any reasonable answer and was still having that dumb roller coaster on a pure white companies.

I think I saw only one reasonable action that may help and that is partly complying to the things Bara mentioned above. It was about triggering auto-moderation again by doing more actions to the company, i.e.: update CPC strategy, add an advertisement or stuff. When I've changed all of those and hit ~100% optimisation value on the company, google launched my ads for a few days. However, it still seems a pure coincidence there.

And I really don't want to touch anything as that account is invested in already and have some needed keywords inside.

Update. Banned on the third day of zero impressions.

Your account most likely was under review (or one of the ads). You can check that if you go to Tools & Settings -> Ad Preview and Diagnosis.

Your Google Adwords account is banned?
Yep, got a ban.

Why? What were you told?
Policy violation

Seems like I was lucky for quite a time and even wondered how the hell I can get my ads running using some of keywords. A bit upset on loosing that account, as I've had invested money and time there. Still not sure how to treat that experience, as I was not clever enough to bring my money page back on that time. Best was to still keep it running, maybe could have earned a penny to return investments at least.

quick edit: by the way, have not a single ban mark on any of keywords/campaigns/texts&titles
