Last year i bought 3 computers. 2 of the ready made, and 3rd i bought components and put together. Now i need to get another one, the best one i ever had.

A person i know advised me on the components and stuff. But i wanna run it by yall to see if im missing anything important, some crazy incompatibility between the compoments i may run into, or something.

Here are the components I'm thinking of buying:

36 GB Ram ($250) - Kingston HyperX DDR4 32GB (2x16GB), 3200Mhz, CL17, XMP HyperX Predator (HX432C16PB3K2/32)

Ryzen 7 ($250) - AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 8 Core (3,7GHz/4,3GHz turbo), 16 Threads, 4MB L2 cache, 16MB L3 cache, 105W, Wraith Prism RGB LED Cooler (AM4)

Box and power supply ($30) - Ms Industrial SOLDIER 500, sa napajanjem 500W (MS-500)

Motherboard ($100) - ASRock AM4 B450M PRO4 DDR4/SATA3/GLAN/2,1/USB 3,1

SSD ($60) - AData XPG 256GB SX8200 Pro, M,2 2280, PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe 1,3, 3500/3000MB/s (ASX8200PNP-256GT-C)

That's about $700 at best, and another $50 for monitor (second hand) + mouse + keyboard + graphics card (second hand). Let's say $800 total.

Give me your thoughts guys.

Can I link you to a store that I have a financial interest in that sells computers?

That is a joke as I would not do that but it is a fairly lucrative enterprise as you'll pay 3 times what the store pays for the hardware so shop responsibly.

Haha the guy that advised me on what to buy told me to shop on aliexpress or other online stores, as i could get everything cheaper. But to me its like... when i make the final decision to buy the stuffn , i want it all here within a week and not a day later, even if it costs me a bit more :)

So ill have to order from local stores in the country.

My patience is formidable... but it is not infinite :D

This is my Current PC Build.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Corsair Dominator 16GB DDR4
Asus B450M Pro Gaming Motherboard
Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 drive for OS
Corsair VS650 SMPS
Gigabyte Radeon RX570 Gaming 4GB GPU

You mentioned 36GB RAM which doesn't exist. The Desktop RAM Modules comes in this capacity. 2/4/8/16/32GB.

The TDP of 2700x is 105w and the 3rd generation 3700x consumes just 65w for the same processing power if not a little more and costs $150 more than the 2700x. Go with 2700x if electricity bill is not that much of an issue else choose 3700x.

What do you need 36GB of RAM for? ML?

Whats ML?

I run bots. On my last computer 36GB of ram still ran at 99% at all times. But then i added another 16GB, and then i had it at about 70-80%.

But it didnt help as much as i thought for my botting needs. I guess even with more ram i was limited by my cpu or hard drive or something.

Vut this time im getting better cpu and gard drive. Hopefully it will be able to handle more than my other pc.

Don't buy that from Aliexpress... your risk reward is not very good there.

Yeah man. You know, aside from the long shippih times, i also worry about quality.. and if theres any issue, how the hell do i claim the warranty. So no, forget about aliexpress.

I can relate too.
But I buy cheap stuff from China even if it will take ages to arrive so far it's not urgent :D
I guess yours is urgently needed.

Literally not joking I am using a 333Mhz that I put Debian on for use as my Sublime Text machine.

Is 500W the peak or continuous power rating?

Hm. Im not sure. But thats the same power supply i have on my other computer. Its been 3-4 months noe and its working no problems.

How importany is this? I didnt see any power supply specify this continuous or peak thing.

In the ram i wrote, its 2x16gb :)

Electricity is no issue. I pay like $35 per month running 3 PCs and 2 lap tops 24/7... plus me living up in here, heating water and charging phone etc.

Machine Learning. ;)

Oh i see. Thanks :)

No, i dont use it for that.

It would take slightly over 5 years running 24/7 in his country to recoup $150 cost with 40 watt difference.

Am I missing the graphics card or ?

I wrote in the end. Ill get a second hand piece of crap.

For my purposes i dont need the graphics card at all other than to get a display on the monitor.

Well.. as far as im aware anyway. Because i wont be doing any video processing or photo editing or gaming on the pc, so graphics card is really not importent... as far as im aware...

Dont buy anything from aliexpress.. havent you seen the many youtube movies of people testing hardware from ali? 9/10 are knock-offs or fail to perform to what they promise.

Buy it normally.. also if you are going to spend so much, buy also liquid cooling.

I have no clue about hardware but I would never buy an AMD. Intel for the win.
