This challenge is inspired by a thread posted by @HustleTong - 100 push-ups per day for 30 days.
This is the routine that I am going to be following:

My challenge is focusing on an abs workout + a daily run.

Exercises per round: 5
Rounds: 5
Exercise length: 45 seconds
Break between exercises: 15 seconds
Break between rounds: 60 seconds
Total time: 30 minutes

Exercises:
1.Plank shoulder touch
2.Pulse sit-ups
3.Leg raises
4.Alternate toe touches
5.Bicycles

Cardio/fitness:
5km run.

I will be doing this 5 days per week (Mon-fri) with two rest days (sat + sun) for the next 30 days.

Day 1: Complete.

If you've time, I would increase the cardio fitness. At least 1 hour per day
Extreme low BF is the secret of defined abs, not the numbers of exercises.
Good luck!

Great idea! What I also advise you is to buy some supplements I promote. They won't help you in any way, but I will make up to 60% revenue share which is really cool.

Abs are made in the kitchen not the gym

I know; you are what you eat right? I am also trying to eat as healthily as possible.

Thanks for the tips, appreciated. I am also doing 6-7 hours of martial arts training per week so that should bump up the cardio as well.

Aiming for six-pack?

Pretty much

Video(s) or it never happened ;)

Hmm, I'll think about this one. Maybe when I get to day 15 or so......

Ever since being a dad, I have a dad body. Starting out my year healthy as well, no more takeout. Starting my run today as well.

Then focus more on cardio and what you eat rather then abs exercise

Im trying to do all 3 - eating healthily, lots of cardio (running every day, kickboxing 5 days per week) and also abs workout.

It’s not really about having a 6 pack, but to build strength in my abs as I believe that’s important for improving kick height and power.

I done that pushup one a few years ago. I done it for a year with my aim on New Years to do 5000 pushups no rest. I managed it :) I do just over a 1000 a week now.

Should look at the pushup, squat and situp.. I blasted the situp as I could do the 200 in one go anyway.

What's the aim? Is it because you're overweight?

see below. Goal is to improve strength, get better at kicking and also generally training for strength and fitness as I have a few competitions coming up this year.

As someone who has done kickboxing (Kyokushin - OSU) for 24 years id seriously recommend doing some Yoga now.. I don't know what level you are at but the tole its taken on my body and I'm only 37 is unreal - it used to be my full time job.

Dunno if you do low kick or above the waist. But get some stretching in and work on your back as well as your core for kicking if you want to improve on them you need to get a good range of resistant bands :)

Good luck with the competitions :)

If you ever want some sets to do at home or if you have a camera to film ill check your form and give you any pointers if you get stuck - like I said don't know what level your at welcome to PM. I used to do full contact kickboxing and low kick as a full time job before I had a crash and my knees got destroyed!

If your in the UK and need to sell some tickets to cover your fight fee let me know and ill jump in the van!

Good luck David, almost on the same path as you, but I want to become vegan as well, finger crossed.

Thanks. It’s mainly just points fighting that I do and it’s more of a hobby not anywhere near the level you were doing it at by the sounds of it.

Im 36 now; only started at 31. Wish I had got into it when I was younger.

My kids are doing it as well now though so hopefully they’ll get a lot further with it.

I’m vegetarian but vegan is a bit daunting because I don’t think I could give up milk and dairy. Hopefully you can do it though. I definitely feel a big benefit even from going veggie.
