Ebay forum is dying

bc those of us making money on it don't want to talk about it. i think most people have it "figured out" and just stay focused without blabbing. got enough competition as is
This is the correct answer. Ebay is just fine. They are even getting off the paypal tit.

How does Ebay know us? What do you think about Ebay privacy? It's getting hard to create an account!

Depending where you come from ebay is still a great platform to earn bucks from. Its just the hype is (was) all about dropshipping and social media marketing (panels and automation). People just jump from one hype to another. When there is the next big thing people will leave Instagram (many of them did already) and find something new, until it gets saturated. Thats the cycle.

Also don't forget many members on here are from India and some other countries, where ebay isn't that popular anymore. On the other hand you will see lots of threads about platforms/methods, which are very popular in those countries.

Ebay is not dead man, it's just that the hype has died down. Those who were already making money are doing fine.

I could see this a while ago and unfortunately its a true..

I think that eBay has simply lost its once commanding position in the ecommerce sphere. Not so long ago, when you thought about selling something online of finding the best deal you thought about eBay, not anymore. That is not to say it is not relevant anymore, but certainly has fallen behind in terms of preeminence in the ecommerce business with all the transactions taking place in social platforms and other emerging marketplaces, and of course the rise of Amazon.

Ebay is considered old and established, and not hip and trendy anymore.

10- 15 years ago young people would sell their stuff on ebay. Today there is much more choice. Facebook groups, Etsy, Depop, Letgo, Poshmark...

Some of these apps and sites also have forums with lively discussions which are extremely appealing to young people.

I read a while back that Ebay would be launching their own 2 day delivery and FBA (FBE) program for their sellers in 2020. IDK if they have announced anything yet. But it will make things interesting.

I think eBay will make a huge come back, they need to leverage somehow and they have the platform to do so.
I use to use eBay often. Now I can't remember the last time I logged on.
