Even for 1000 e-mails, I would use one of the E-mail marketing providers. (Mailchimp, get response, constant contact) They have funnels built in to get people to your money page and also have less of a chance of winding up in peoples spam box. I would definitely try to increase the size of your mail list though. They say "The money is in the list". Yes, you can use them to promote products or services. If done correctly, a good list is one of your most profitable resources in my experience.

send them emails daily talking about whatever problem they're having and make the solution the offer you are promoting.
