what type of content is that that he claim he own and according to you, you said it has been edited or is not fully edited
So today I received a DMCA Takedown Notice
mail from Shopify.
The point was that I stole descriptions from a dropshipper. 2 hours later I also received a message from the seller and he threatened that I had to remove it and 500 euros a day fine if I do not remove.
I don't know if I should take that threat seriously ..
So I went crazy, and I deleted my shopify store and my business email and my company.
They are right, but it is just a description and I had changed it a little bit but well.
I don't know if people have experience with this.
I just started 3 months ago and don't know everything. Almost made me the first $ 1000 in sales.
I am very proud of myself that I have come a long way, but deep down I am really sad that it went like this.
An online business is my dream, and in business I really got to know myself better. That you really have to be patient and that you have to have a plan and that you have to do everything step by step and not in a hurry. My goal is to make 2000 $ A month by June 1. I hope I will make it .. But for now I will take a break
Yeah, i fixed everythingi think you went too crazy you deleted all business no need to do it worst you pay a fee and close this
haha yes that is my weaknessLook kids, this happens when you are too impulsive.
I know some guys on ebay suing everyone who is using their description or product pictures...and they get serious cash from this. Its in Germany tho. Most E-commerce owners are bluffers. I've been threatened by a lawsuit before and it never happened.
Most of these guys can barely pay for their Shopify store, let alone file a lawsuit.
Their margins are so low they need to threaten stores that barely competes with them.
The lesson you learned is: never be lazy and just rewrite the product descriptions.
Closing your store was just an overreaction.
this is bad, I doubt they earn a lot selling their products? This is why they go around see which competitor can sue and one shot earn a lot rather than selling products?I know some guys on ebay suing everyone who is using their description or product pictures...and they get serious cash from this. I don't really know. They are some big online shops with thousands of reviews, so I guess they earn a lot already.this is bad, I doubt they earn a lot selling their products? This is why they go around see which competitor can sue and one shot earn a lot rather than selling products?
