How much time does it take for bing to index the site

I verified my site and submitted my sitemap to bing console like 5 days ago and its still not indexed yet. Google indexed my site yesterday without anything.

How long does it take for the site to get indexed on Bing?

That's pretty typical honestly. Bing always seems to lag behind when it comes to indexing times at least in my experience. Although it's hard to say as there are lots of factors that go into it.

If Google can read and index your sitemap just fine you likely just need he patient. Hopefuly you will be indexed by Bing within a few weeks. Good luck mate!

Bing used to index my porn site faster, but when it comes to indexing normal sites they suck! Bing's AI likes porn for some reason

A few hours max... I submitted the site, used mobile test, fetch as bing then went out for 2-3 hours, came back and the site is re-crawled by bing.

It should be really quick check your site maps use site maps made from yoast

Request errors occur when the server is reached but a page isn't able to be found.

Have you deleted any pages or content since submitting your sitemap? If so you may have to generate a new one and re-submit it.

This test I did... I had the page indexed every day within hours after submitting a page for every option in the webmaster tool.
On the other hand... I changed to site to https and over 2 weeks and bing still has a lot of old pages... and I can't be arsed to manually submit about 1500 pages to bing to index them. Yes, google is considerably faster indexing (re-indexing) sites.

but if you're very desperate to index with bing then submit every single page to bing and it will be indexed.

Another thing I've noticed on bing is that it's very slow to follow the links on page. I created a wordpress blog to index some backlinks... bing indexes my page every single day but it hasn't indexed a single page I linked to for 6 days.

1. 22:15

2. I followed those 4 steps and at 23:04 (less than 1 hour after doing those 4 steps)

You see it's re-indexed today after I followed the 4 steps I posted before.

PS: in this test I used one of my real websites and yes, bingbot re-crawled it within 1 hour.
