Hey yall, let me explain what I am trying to do and maybe someone can help me.
I want to have a buy it now type auction that when someone buys it I am able to send them an invoice. I do not want to use paypal.
Now naturally one would say choose merchant account and set one of those up..well I do not need to setup a merchant account because I am not expecting to actually get any money from the auction (i know doesnt make sense but go with me on this)
All I want to really be able to do is select credit cards and disable paypal (without having to input merchant account info).
I have a friend who said when he is listing his auctions he is able to select credit cards and uncheck accept paypal and it works just fine for him...but everytime I do it i get an error saying I either need to setup a merchant account or I need to enable paypal. (he says he has no merchant account at all either)
Actually, the error says I have selected features that require I use paypal...but i couldnt find any features to disable or whatever.
I know this is kinda long winded but any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
PS: is there any way to setup a "fake" merchant account that wouldnt cost anything...just to get by this issue if they absolutely insist the only way to select the cc option is if i have merchant account
