Are you searching only for specific kind of jobs or you are taking everything that you can do and make you money?

For now, I'm only doing what I'm good at. Lead generation. But as mentioned in my original post, I'm looking to collaborate with other professionals. I'm going to target the most difficult projects on Upwork, not simple work. More difficult the project, more money to be made, and less competition in it. Something like graphic design, virtual assistant, copywriter are very saturated. I'm not saying these tasks are easy, but there are hundreds and thousands of people on Upwork willing to work on these for cheap. These are not suitable for my annual target. I'm interested in projects which can get me a few hundred to a thousand dollars per project, or something that might be $50 - 100 for the first project, but I could find more areas to work on with the client to increase the ticket size.

The other freelancers I find on Upwork, I don't know them and can't trust their performance. I'd rather share the profits with someone I know offline who has the skills, but can't market himself, or someone from Blackhatworld who's having a hard time getting a job on Upwork.

Language specialized SEO is still an unsaturated thing on Upwork. Helpful if you know or have a team of foreign language specialists. These clients pay more than English clients.

Have a long ass profile description, with as much details as possible, 5 to 6 case studied on your profile, and at least 5 jobs with 5 star feedback (fake it till you make it).

But getting good partners is essential. "One bad apple spoils the rest," as they say. Have you determined exactly what skills you need in your partners? Have you planned some sort of interview process? Are you limiting the number of JVs in the beginning and growing it later? How do you plan to evaluate the work done by your partners? Have you thought about eventually growing into an agency?

It takes guts to put yourself out there by stating your audacious ($150K per year working 1 hour a day! ) goal and publishing your journey. I applaud you for it and I look forward to reading more.

When i posted this I had just very quickly scanned the thread. I went back and read more closely and I now have a better understand of how you are approaching your endeavor. You have a looser, more opportunistic strategy than I had envisioned, which is cool. See what opportunities arise and jump on them when you identify them. That flexibility can serve you well.

Given what I learned by reading the thread more closely, I have answers to some of my previous questions, but I have a new one. Are your looking for partners with skills and seeing if there are high-paying jobs that require their skills or and you doing the reverse, i.e., looking for high-paying jobs and then looking for people with those skills? Or both?

If you think it wouldn't lessen your competitive edge, it would be great if you could post the skills and the types of jobs you have identified that satisfy your criterion of matching up with high-paying gigs.
