Hello,

I want to create a Linkedin profile for a fictional author of my veterinary blog. So I wanted to ask Linkedin professionals can this social network ask me to upload my ID? Especially if I'll write that I have veterinary education, live and work in the USA.

During registration I think no. But eventually *they do or as soon as you have some spam like activity, like adding a lot of people that will claim they don't know you. Or when you message a lot of people and will mark you as spam.

Only if your account gets restricted. You may be asked for a phone verification during the registration process though.
