Here's something Ijust did for a friend.
He was getting a 5k loan so that he could buy and place two ATMs, however i remembered that he has started playing stocks now.
So instead:
He he got his 5k loan (with a 580 credit score mind you), then we bought 5k worth of stock.
Next, I took that stock and got him another loan for 2500, interest only payments, 3 years
Took that 2500 and bought an ATM and still had 500 left over to do whatever with.
Alternatively he could have used that 2500 to buy more stock.
Another option would have been to simply buy 5k of stock, and get 2500 back (which you then use to pay back the principle of the original loan), in affect buying 5k of stock for 2.5k
Multiplying his 5k loan and turning it into:
Option 1) 5k of stock and an atm for 200/month (owes 2500 balance in 3 years)
Option 2) 7500 of stock for 210/month (owes 2500 balance in 3 years)
Option 3) 5k worth of stock 80/month (2500 balance in 3 years)
Original 5k loan would cost 190/month
Just a thought for anyone who does buy and hold, or wants to acquire extra stock quick in a pinch, or simply wants to use their buy/hold stocks to leverage another investment
