Is oDesk slow at the weekends? I posted a writing job yesterday and have not had any responses?

Most people who post crappy low pay junk jobs don't get many responses. But, the Indians should be bidding. Weird. I've seen some jobs that are too crappy even for them though.

Weekends are slower on elance too, but you should have gotten at least something. Weird. I would say your job post was probably a turnoff for some reason. Usually, too much ranting+little pay is a turnoff even for the Indians.

Check to make sure you havent selected the option where you have to invite bids or no one sees the job.

Most indians dont even read the jobs. They all just apply like crazy with copy paste templates. IF you are not getting that then that means you have probably set it to private or limited indian countries at the very least. Unlimit to all countries.

That's strange. I have seen bids come in the very second I posted a job. Double check and see if everything is okay in terms of settings.

lol It's true. I assume they have bots but I don't know how the fuck they get jobs with their copy/paste templates. I've posted jobs at elance before and at freelancer and the proposals are awful. Then buyers wonder why they get crap work in return.

They are willing to work even for the most godawful rates and some employers are just too greedy to realize they'll be (usually) getting shit in return.

You may also post your job, especially on statistical analysis, economics, accounting etc, on Statlance..they are good freelancer site.
