Hello,

I bought different SEO services for the last two months, so far, there were "flash" results and then suddenly my website disappeared from google.
I was delivered a report which has a lot of links and upon checking them, you can see that them are alive, however, when using ahref or any other tool, my website appears to have 16 backlinks. I do, however, get more results on google (Google console shows more domains that refer to my domain).
I never really wanted spammy backlinks nor automated tools, I wanted some service that in the long term, would boost our website to the first pages (our niche is not especially competitive, the competitors are on the first page because their page has existed for years).
(random question, am I being scammed? there is absolutely no result on google after these services, what baffles me is that the guy(s) are nice and always reply to my messages, I'm new to SEO to I have no clue on whether this is normal or not).

Are PBN links worth it? After considering it, I believe that these are the better option, however, for some reason, owners that I met won't share a link of their PBN.
Aren't PBNs a set of big sites that have "influence" due to their high traffic/reputation? Shouldn't it all be "whitehat" and safe to share?
Is it fine if I just buy 1-2 links per month? I'm looking to pay $70-$150 per link for now.

Pbns worth if they are done properly. Make sure you buy quality over quantity and don't blast them one day all or at least tell the seller to modify the dates if WordPress.

Tools like Ahrefs and Majestic are usually blocked in the PBNs to avoid detection by the competitions and thats why you rarely can see them there.

No not at all, most domains that sellers use for PBNs are burned domains from previous websites.

Most people selling PBN links care about making a profitable PBN for them, they will use dropped domains that have been spammed with a high RD.

They don't care about long term side effects of customers using them.

Shouldn't it all be "whitehat" and safe to share?

PBNs are not whitehat, they are literally "private blog networks"... They are not to be shared.

But sellers just use this as an excuse to keep buyers from seeing what a crap job they have done.

You can see the domains and website within search console if you wait a few weeks, then you can see the domains and how you spent your money on shitty links but by this time the refund period is probably over.

With that budget you can do genuine guest posting and outreach. Don't buy silly services, marketplaces like BHW are good for low level noob shit.

Email a few websites that linked to your competitor and ask if they accept guest posts, some will charge a fee, some will just want content.

You can literally build your own PBN and have total control with that kind of budget if you want long term results. If you buy PBN links from sellers the website will have posts in all sorts of niches like:

• CCTV cameras
• Casino
• Pills
• [your niche]
• Best garage doors las vegas
• London web designer
• Low budget amazon affiliate

It's not even hard for Google to see that this is going on, they devalue the links (so you get no positive boost from using them) or deindex completely (penalising the PBN and every site that used it).

Well, your reply definitely cleared it all for me, I had a very different perspective of what I was buying, it is a shame that now my company has these ugly links linked whereas my competitors are clear. I will surely wait for all links to deploy and then have them removed if possible.

When I'm testing out PBN links, I never use more than 1 service on a site at any one time, so I get a true reflection of what is being delivered and the results.

How many links did you buy at once? How old is the site and how many links did it have before you bought PBN links? What anchors did you use and what is your anchor ratio? How long has it been since you received the links?

I have bought pbn links that did nothing. Some did nothing initially but after a few months showed a gradual increase and some showed an immediate boost. The ones were I saw the biggest boost were pages that had lots of naked URL and branded anchors prior to receiving keyword anchor links. You can't have 100% of the links pointing at your page using the same keyword anchor text and expecting it to skyrocket, this isn't 2012.

Did you buy cheap and affordable ones and directly point it at your money site then I’m not surprised with the results, buy premium homepage pbns which are regularly maintained and then you’ll see nice results

If you have $70+ to spend on links, hire a VA and do outreach properly.

Wouldn't a virtual assistant become way more expensive? I can spend up to $300 a month.
I was thinking of buying articles from known blogs related with my niche, thought I would get 1-2 links at most per month.

Yes, that is usually the case with lower quality links. Sudden influx and then drop.

With higher quality links, return of rankings and then even better positions follow.

But that's the "problem". Whole PBN is owned by a single person. They are not legit business.

I operate public blog network service and it takes a lot of time, effort and mostly people to make t look as legit as possible.

I think problem is more usage and attitude of people than link types themselves. Most of the time people either don't know what they are doing and mess up or abuse it.

About PBN links... even very risky asset as public blog network can last for years if setup & managed with care.

You are far better buying only a few good links every month than to buy a lot of spammy links. I would not build any more links to see if the site recovers. If it does great, if not go through and disavow the links you bought.

The seller offered me a refund but I think he thought I would not take it, as soon as I asked for it he came with a lot of excuses, this is really uncomfortable lol.

That's a completely different thing!

Anyway, PBNs have no value these days. They can be useful to give a brief boost to some easy keywords or just to improve the metrics of a domain such as trust flow and citation flow. They actually pass very little link juice and so your website will rank poorly if it receives only PBN backlinks.
