[Guide] The 11 Tips For Ranking Your GMB Easily & Fast

Ahhh, a different one for each money page, didn’t think of that. So I already created one that is for the general gmb and pointed to the shortened gmb link. Built some high authority 2.0s to it.

But I apparently didn’t do two things. Didn’t point map embeds to the stack, nor did I embed a map in the stack itself. I will add the map to the stack tomorrow, but since the targeting is all over, to cover the whole listing, will it hurt to keep the stack pointed at the cid? Or should I just point this one to the homepage of my money site?

I’ll list create new ones for each money page

If the Google stack is already pointed to the GMB or CID, then don't change the links now. Else create a new one and point to your money page with your targeted keyword.

Is a citation without website link ONLY with address, name and data company worth?

Hey guys,

I see many members asking alot recently about GMB's so I decided to write a quick list of tips for optimizing it.

Let's go straight to the point.

I'll divide this to Onpage (Optimizing the GMB itself) and Offpage (Optimizing outside of the GMB).

GMB Onpage Optimizing:
  • Add photos - make sure the keyword is in the file name. Also add geotagged photos, using tools like: https://www.geoimgr.com/
  • Add posts - Make sure you have some posts on your listing, both long and short, with your keywords inside.
  • Add reviews - Make sure you use legit reviews. Google is doing good job "filtering" fake reviews so try to act legit. If you are not outsourcing, post reviews from mobiles that searched for the service and called the GMB recently. Also make sure you're replying to reviews.
  • Categories - Make sure your primary and secondary categories are similar to your top competitors.
  • Add all the details - Make sure you fill everything possible in the GMB like description, hours, etc. For label use keywords.

GMB Offpage Optimizing:
  • Social Fortress - Make sure you build all the social profiles available, or atleast the top ones, with the NAP of the GMB.
  • Press Release - Make sure you run a quality press release with your map embeded and with your NAP there.
  • Citations - Build a bunch of Citations like Yelp and Bing, but make sure you go for local citations as well. Try to track what citations your competitors are using and get them as well.
  • Website - Make sure to get a website connected to your GMB, you can use GMB website builder.
  • Links - Just like any normal SEO project, get some links from various sources to your WEBSITE. Make sure those links include the NAP and the business information as well.
  • Google Authority Stack - Google loves their own properties, setup a Google Authority Stack linking to your website.

Let me know if you have any questions or you want to add something.

Thanks!
Couple questions homie

How do you mean by press releases and google authority stack? I thought press releases were just paying a local paper for a review or article on your business? Is their a manual way to do google authority stack

Thanks for the info and additional comments, going to give the stacking a try.

Google Authority Stack linking to your website.
I heard from a guy that linking your website to google authority stack is dangerous right now. instead of linking your website, link your gmb listing.

just want to know what's right that's all.

thanks for your guide.

Great thread, I've been working hard on my GMB. I'm currently getting around 250 views a month. Made two sales last month in my industry.
